Mazin Khoury Eliminated in 25th Place ($13,297)

Mazin Khoury - 25th place
Mazin Khoury - 25th place

Blair Hinkle opened to 20,000 from the hijack position and was re-raised by Thomas Conway from the cutoff. It was folded around to Mazin Khoury in the small blind and he went all in for his last 165,000. Action folded back around to Conway, who snap-called to put Khoury at risk.

Khoury: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Conway: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, giving Conway a winning straight on the river and sending Khoury to the rail.

Conway is our current chip leader with 1,060,000.

Blair Hinkle Eliminated in 24th Place ($13,297)

Blair Hinkle - 24th place
Blair Hinkle - 24th place

We picked this one up on the flop at which point there was about 45,000 in the middle, with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} showing in the center. Acting first Niel Mittelman pushed out a bet of 25,000, and after a pause Blair Hinkle called. The turn was the {4-Hearts}, and Mittelman again led with a bet, this time for 50,000.

Hinkle sat quietly for close to a minute, then announced he was raising all in for around 250,000 more. Mittelman quickly called, tabling {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} for top set of aces. Hinkle had {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} for two pair, meaning the {9-Spades} river was no matter.

David Copeland Eliminated in 20th Place ($13,297)

David Copeland - 20th place
David Copeland - 20th place

The eliminations keep coming, with David Copeland the latest to fall. Jason Everett was the beneficiary in this one.

With the board reading {9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and a pot of 20,000 or so, Everett fired a bet of 12,000 which Copeland then raised to 26,000. Everett thought a moment, then called. The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and a check from Everett, and after a lengthy pause Copeland announced he was pushing the rest of his short stack all in, and Everett quickly called.

Copeland had {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for tens, while Everett had him dead with the {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a straight, making the river {5-Diamonds} just an extra bit of trivia.

One more elimination before another redraw — and a pay jump.

Michael Bena - 19th place

Michael Bena open-pushed all in for 150,000 from under-the-gun and, immediately behind him, Travell Thomas also went all in himself for 175,000. Everyone else folded and hands were revealed.

Bena: {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Travell: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Travell busted Bena with a superior two-pair.

Thomas is up to 340,000 as a result of the knockout.

Updated Chip Counts (18 Remain)

Rather that do a full-blown redraw to two tables, the empty ones were quickly filled, so most of the remaining players are still in their same seats from the redraw at 27. Here's how the counts look with about a half-hour left to play this evening.

Jeremy Halaska 18th place
Jeremy Halaska 18th place

It was folded around to Jeremy Halaska in the hijack, who pushed all in for his last 135,000. Action folded around to David Forster in the small blind and he also went all in. The big blind folded and hands were revealed.

Halaska: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Forster: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} board kept Forster in the lead and he eliminated Halaska in 18th place.
