Yu Pushes Puchkov Off Hand

Konstantin Puchkov raised to 1,300 from early position, then Ben Yu in the hijack seat made it 3,200 to go. It folded back to Puchkov who made the call.

The flop came {5-Spades}{7-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Puchkov checked. Yu pushed out a bet of 3,500, and after thinking for a few moments Puchkov stepped aside.

Everybody Take Twenty

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Players have left for another 20-minute break. The plan for the rest of the evening is to play one more level, have another break, then play two more one-hour levels before concluding for the night.

And Then... Get This... Your Chips Were Gone

Will Failla, from Event 49
Will Failla, from Event 49

Will "The Thrill" Failla has been moved into the Gold section and is currently enthralling his table mates with nonstop stories.

Everyone's enjoying the tale telling, but Failla is doing more than just eliciting laughs from them, having grabbed a number of chips to add to his stack as well.

Ho Hems, Haws, Lets Hand Go

With about 2,500 in the middle and the board showing {J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}, a player in early position checked, Maria Ho bet 1,550, and her opponent called. The river then brought the {6-Diamonds} and a bet of 3,400 from Ho's opponent.

Ho thought for two full minutes, riffling her chips throughout, then finally let her hand go.

Baker Cookin'

David "ODB" Baker, winner of Event 37: $2,500 Eight-Game Mix, has been steadily accumulating chips today, having crossed the 50,000-chip mark to claim one of the bigger stacks in the room at present.

Baker already has four cashes at this summer's WSOP. In addition to his Event 25 win, Baker has made another final table (finishing third) and a near-miss (finishing 10th).

Please Don't Touch My...

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

"Weenis? Wait a minute...? Is that what it's really called?"

So asked a player at Table 41 where Andrew Lichtenberger was recently moved. Someone had introduced the slang term to the table, a word sometimes used to refer to the loose skin at one's elbow. A quick check of the smart phone by the questioner confirmed the one making the claim wasn't bluffing.

Players laughed. Then all seemed to lean back a little, bringing their elbows inward.
