Baron's Kings Sink Johnny Chan

Johnny Chan
Johnny Chan

Preflop betting between Johnny Chan and Isaac Baron left the two-time WSOP Main Event champion all in with {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} and in dire straits against Baron's {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The dealer burned a card and delivered the flop — {10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts} — Top set for Baron, and very bad news for Chan. The dealer went through the motions of dealing the {9-Spades} turn and {6-Spades} river, ending thigs for Chan. Meanwhile, Baron has now chipped up over 1 million.

With Huck Seed's bustout earlier today, Chan's knockout means the last former WSOP Main Event champion in the field has been eliminated.

Moorman No More, Man

Moorman Gone
Moorman Gone

The player under the gun opened to 16,000 only to have Patrick Halter three-bet to 41,000. Action folded all of the way around the table to Chris Moorman in the big blind. Moorman thought for a bit before pushing out a four-bet to 98,000 total.

The original raiser got out of the way and Halter announced that he was all in. Moorman tanked for about two minutes before announcing a call and moving his remaining 455,000 into the center.

Moorman: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Halter: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Moorman was behind and in need of help. The camera crews flocked to the area and once they were in place, the board was dealt out quickly. It came down {6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Chris Moorman was sent to the rail. Halter's stack has now jumped over a million, as he is sitting on 1,350,000.

Klevitz Catches A Jack For The Double Up

William Klevitz got the rest of his 129,000 all in preflop holding {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, and he was up against the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} of Chanracy Khun. The flop brought no help for Klevitz, coming {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. The turn came the {10-Clubs}, and Klevitz would need help on the river.

River: {j-Clubs}

Klevitz clapped his hands a few times as the jack gave him the double up to 296,000. Meanwhile, Khun drops down to 422,000.

Lindley's Run Ends

Christina Lindley
Christina Lindley

Christina Lindley has been playing a short stack all day, having barely survived the bubble bursting earlier in the afternoon. Meanwhile Ben Alcober has been on Lindley's left all day. Alcober was the first player to 1 million on Day 3, and entered today with nearly 790,000. He's struggled on Day 4 and had a below average stack himself when the following hand took place.

It folded around to Lindley in the small blind who checked her cards then set out her remaining stack of about 85,000. Alcober then checked his and announced a call. Lindley had {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and would need help against Alcober's {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. But the board came {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts}, and Lindley is out, around 300 other players having cashed before she finally ran out of chips.
