Annette Bets her Sets

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

On a {2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{J-Clubs} | {Q-Diamonds} | {7-Hearts} board we saw Annette Obrestad bet 4,200. Het opponent, who had checked to her, eventually made the call. Obrestad proudly showed {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for a flopped top set. That was more than enough to secure her the pot and she now plays 13,600.

Pham Hits his Ace

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

On a {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop David Pham had checked from the big blind. The initial-raiser, seated under-the-gun plus one, bet out 550. "The Dragon" made it 2,175 to go and snap called when the initial-raiser went allin. Pham showed {A-Spades}{4-Spades} for two over cards, a gutshot and a flushdraw. His four wasn't live though, as the under-the-gun plus one player showed {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The {K-Diamonds} on the turn didn't help Pham at all, but the {A-Hearts} on the river did.

Le Survives

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

We came in as Nam Le shoved all in for his final 875 from middle position with {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. He found one caller from the player under the gun who had {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. The flop {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades} gave Le some additional outs and the turn {10-Diamonds} gave him the lead with a pair. His pair tens held up through the {6-Spades} river and Le gained some much needed chips.

De Goede Pays his Opponent Off

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Pim de Goede just opened the hijack to 300 and got a call from the cutoff. De Goede check-called a 500 bet by his opponent on {10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. The {2-Hearts} on the turn made both players check and the {A-Diamonds} hit the river. De Goede checked, and called a 800 bet after some thinking. He had to muck as his opponent showed {A-Spades}{5-Spades} for a rivered top pair.

Pim de Goede, a Dutch player living in Malta, is still going strong though with 13,000 in chips.

I Just Want To Play With You

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Kathy Liebert raised to 600 from middle position. It folded to the small blind who called but not before saying: "I just want to play with you". The big blind wanted to play too and there were three to a flop of {10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Both blinds checked to Liebert who continued for 600, the small blind called and the big blind folded.

Both players checked the {7-Spades} turn and the small blind led for 1,000 on the {2-Hearts} river. Liebert folded and her opponent not only played but won the pot.
