Crain Doubling Up Short Stacks

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

The last three all ins occurred at table #410 and involved Eric Crain and a short stack.

The first all in came when Crain opened to 20,000. Action folded to Tim Reilly, in the big blind, who went all in for 54,000 holding {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Crain called with {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and the board ran out {2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Reilly got a much needed to boost to his stack.

The second all in came when James Uschuk went all in for his remaining stack with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and everyone folded to Crain in the small blind who reraised to isolate encouraging the big blind to fold. Crain tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} stating queens haven't been doing well against him. We saw a board of {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Upschuk's queens did just fine against Crain.

The third double was again involving Tim Reilly who raised to 16,000. Crain, the button, potted and Reilly was essentially all in and put the remaining chips in the pot. Crain tabled {j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Reilly was ahead with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. The board came {2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts} giving Reilly a flush and another double.up.

Rofman Rivers Queen to Double

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Kenneth Shelton limped in from the cutoff and Eric Crain completed from the small blind. Lev Rofman checked his option and the trio took in a flop of {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Crain bet 10,000 and Rofman quickly announced a pot-sized raise. Shelton fold and Crain re-raised enough to put Shelton all in. Shelton called for 77,000 total.

Crain: {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Rofman: {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Crain's sixes were out in the lead and he stayed that was as the {J-Spades} rolled off on the turn.

"No ten! No queen!" said Crain quickly.

The dealer flipped over the river card- the {Q-Clubs}.

Crain quickly walked away from the table and came back just in time to see the massive pot pushed toward his opponent. Despite this hit, Crain is still the chip lead with about 460,000.

Dennis Jeffrey Eliminated in 14th Place ($8,175)

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Dennis Jeffrey
Dennis Jeffrey

Action folded around to Dennis Jeffrey in the cutoff and he raised to 16,000. Kenneth Shelton reraised, making it 46,000 to go. The blinds folded and Jeffrey took some time to think about his options, he eventually decided to move all and Shelton snap called.

Jeffrey: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Shelton: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Jeffrey's hopes were all but dashed on the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop. The {10-Diamonds} turn sealed his fate and the meaningless {6-Diamonds} came on the river, eliminating Jeffrey in 14th place.

Jonathan Roy Eliminated in 15th Place ($8,175)

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Jonathan Roy - 15th Place
Jonathan Roy - 15th Place

Eric Crain opened the betting with a raise to an unknown amount. Lev Rofman flat called from the next seat over and it folded around to Jonathan Roy who three-bet the pot from late position. It came back to Crain who re-potted all in and Rofman folded his hand. Roy called and the two were flipping for Roy's tournament life.

Crain: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Roy: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

Crain stood on his chair as the dealer fanned a {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop. The {4-Hearts} on the turn gave Crain several more outs that allowed him to make a straight and a flush. He made the latter on the river when the {7-Hearts} drilled the felt and Roy was suddenly eliminated from play. Crain scooped a massive pot and is now by far the chip lead with about 535,000.
