Austin Busts Sands

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

From the cutoff David Sands opened to 1,700 and Jeremy Ausmus three bet to 5,300 from the small blind. Sands made the four bet to 12,700 and the five bet to 25,600 by Ausmus. Sands pushed all in and Ausmus snap called. We had a big showdown on our hands and Sands immediately didn't look to happy about it. His {A-Spades}{K-Spades} was behind, Ausmus showed {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

The flop was a good one for Sands giving him more outs: {9-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. The {Q-Clubs} on the turn added the jacks to the possible cards to hit for Sands but the {7-Diamonds} on the river was a total brick and Sands departed. Ausmus, who started the day with just 15,400, now has about 180,000.

Roberts Out

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

By the time we arrived the flop was already out and Yevgeniy Timoshenko in the cutoff had bet 2,800 on {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. He was heads up with Brian Roberts on the button who had raised to 6,800. Timoshenko made the call and checked on the {Q-Spades} turn to his neighbor. Roberts bet out 10,200 and Timoshenko thought for a while. Timoshenko himself had 50,900 behind and had Robert covered who played 31,000 at this time. Timoshenko announced all in and after some thinking Roberts made the call and directly showed his {K-Spades}{7-Spades}. Timoshenko tabled {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} and had to fade the spades and fours. The {Q-Hearts} on the river was a blank and Roberts stood up from the table while Timoshenko started stacking his newly acquired chips.

Negreanu's Got The Nuts

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

We walked up to a hand on the river involving Daniel Negreanu. The board read {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Negreanu bet out for 6,700. His opponent made the reluctant call, and Negreanu said, "Nuts," showing {a-Spades}{2-Spades}. His opponent mucked and Negreanu raked in the pot to bring his stack up to around 45,000.

Started From the Bottom, Now We Here

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

Prahlad Friedman raised to 2,300 from under the gun, Jeremy Ausmus, who started the day with just 15,000 chips, three-bet to 3,600 on the button, and Friedman, who only had 11,300 behind, called.

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Friedman moved all in, and Ausmus quickly called.

Friedman: {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Ausmus: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The turn and river came {9-Spades}. {j-Clubs} respectively, and Friedman was eliminated.

The very next hand, while Ausmus was stacking his chips, he raised to 2,000. A player three-bet to 4,500, and the action folded back to Ausmus. The Octo-Niner was tanking while continuing to stack his newfound chips, which annoyed the three-bettor.

"I don't mean to be rude, but you have to stop doing that. It's really inconsiderate," the player told Ausmus.

In response, the cash grinder grabbed a large tower of T1,000 chips, and slid them forward, putting the gentleman all in.

"It's going to be like that?" the player asked, folding.

Ausmus responded with a simple smile.
