NBA superstar Paul Pierce is having so much fun on Day 2 of the 2013 WSOP $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event that he's dancing at the poker poker table. Kristy Arnett speaks with about it on a break.
We came upon a big three-way hand brewing between Jared Bleznick, Michael Hertz, and Paul Pierce just now. Action before the flop saw Bleznick raising from middle position, Hertz reraising from the button, Pierce calling out of the blinds, then Bleznick reraising the pot to more than 50,000. Hertz called all in with his short stack, and Pierce thought for a while before calling Bleznick's big reraise.
That created a total pot of 123,500, and as the dealer burned a card to deliver the flop, Bleznick spoke across the table to Pierce.
"This is going to be a big one," said Bleznick. "Whoever wins… no slowrolling." The table chuckled at the reference to Pierce's earlier hand in which he had busted another player.
The flop came , and after Pierce checked, Bleznick promptly bet the pot. That sent Pierce deep into the tank as he considered what to do. After a minute he stood up and the massage therapist who had been working his shoulders took a step back as he stretched his 6'7" frame. He sat back down and after a short while longer finally let his hand go.
Bleznick then tabled while Hertz turned over . The turn was the and river the , Bleznick collected the chips, and Hertz hit the rail.
