Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Several players are approaching more than three times the starting stack and among them are Adam Owen, Robert Mizrachi, Fraser MacIntyre and Chance Kornuth, while Xuedong Li lost half of his former big stack.

Mizrachi, MacIntyre and Kornuth ended up on the same table and are seated in a row. MacIntyre just raised to 6,000 and called Kornuth's three-bet to 18,000. The flop came {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and MacIntyre checked before releasing his cards into the muck when Kornuth fired a continuation bet for 22,500.

Galfond Chips Up

Level 10 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Phil Galfond
Phil Galfond

On a flop of {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Phil Galfond bet 9,000 out of the small blind into a pot of more than 40,000 and his sole remaining opponent, Eddie Ochana, raised it up to 38,000 from under the gun. Galfond elected to fold and Ochana claimed the pot.

Galfond raised the next hand to 7,000 on the button and Ochana called, then check-folded to a bet of 7,000 on the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop.

One hand later, Galfond had raised again from the cutoff, Ben Yu in the big blind check-called a bet of 7,000 by Galfond on the {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. Both checked the {10-Spades} turn and Yu checked the {3-Diamonds} on the river.

Galfond bet 14,000 and received the call to show {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a full house to build his stack.

Kruk Doubles Through Leah

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Christopher Kruk
Christopher Kruk

Mike Leah raised to 5,000 from early position and Christopher Kruk called from the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Kruk checked. Leah bet 6,000, Kruk check-raised to 29,000, Leah shoved, and Kruk called to put himself at risk.

Mike Leah: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Christopher Kruk: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Leah had the lead with top two and Kruk needed to improve in order to win. The {3-Hearts} on the turn was no help to either player but the {K-Spades} river filled Kruk's wrap, giving him Broadway to take the pot for the double-up.

Bowker Chips Up

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

After having raised from under the gun and picked up resistance in Eddie Ochana, Kyle Bowker was spotted on the turn of a board {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Bowker had checked to Ochana, who bet 28,000 into a pot of 31,000, and Bowker announced a pot-sized raise of 84,000.

Ochana gave it some thought and folded.

Daniel Merrilees defended his big blind against a raise by Brian Alioa and bet the flop, when the dealer suddenly mucked the cards already. With the help of other players, and the floor that was called, the flop was put back on with the {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, and Alioa was to act. He gave it some thought and folded.
