Ryan "sychosid" Hohner Wins WSOP Summer Circuit Event #2

The WSOP Summer Online Circuit recently kicked off to run alongside the bracelet events. The second tournament of the series was the $215 buy-in Event #2: $75,000 GTD No-Limit Hold'em, which attracted 383 players who rebought 217 times. The 600-entry field resulted in a $120,000 prize pool that was paid out to the top 80 finishers.

Among those to cash were Nipun "javatini" Java (12th - $1,620), Ryan "joeyisamush" Depaulo (15th - $1,248), Jeff "MahaKala108" Gross (21st - $756), Daniel "juice" Buzgon (27th - $756), Ethan "Rampunts" Yau (36th - $600), and Philip "tomte" Yeh (41st - $540).

After seven hours of play, it was Ryan "sychosid" Hohner coming out on top to win a $20,520 top prize and his second career ring. The first came back in April when he won the WSOP Online Circuit Spring Super Series Event #17: $75,000 GTD NLH 6-Max for $18,447.

"myob1029" Becomes First Player to Re-Enter Tournament

Alex "OrcinusOrca" Foxen raised to 250 from middle position and "myob1029" jammed for just 379 from the cutoff. Patrick "Synesthesia" Eskandar then popped it to 858 from the button and Foxen called.

Foxen then check-called a bet of 1,122 on the {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop and 2,144 on the {2-Spades} turn.

When the {j-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, action went check-check and Foxen tabled the {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Eskandar mucked and "myob1029" showed the {4-Spades}{a-Spades} for ace-high. With that, Foxen won the pot and "myob1029" became the first player to re-enter the tournament.

Lee Wins Big Pot With Nut Flush

Bernard "Dogger99" Lee called a raise to 230 from the hijack and five players went to the flop that came the {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}. The first player to act bet 575, Lee called as did two others behind, only one player folded.

The turn was the {7-Hearts}, "PaintYoFace" in position bet 3,450, Carlos "CarlosWelch" Welch called, as did Lee the fourth player folded.

The river came the {4-Spades}. Welch checked from the small blind, Lee bet 3,750, "PaintYoFace" raised to 19,725, Welch folded and Lee called.

"PaintYoFace" showed the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a missed straight flush draw while Lee had the {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for the nut flush and collected the big pot.
