Jeffery "Steelvikes7" Hoop Wins 2021 WSOP Online Event #4: NLH Super Turbo ($73,861)

On Sunday night, the 2021 WSOP Online Event #4: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Super Turbo attracted 608 runners who rebought 242 times to create an 850-entry field.

The holiday special on the Fourth of July offered a $382,500 prize pool, and after less than six hours of play, it was Jeffery "Steelvikes7" Hoops walking away with the $73,861 top prize and the latest gold bracelet.

7Wendy "Cardthartic" Freedman$9,065
8Vineet "brownmagic" Pahuja$6,846
9Jonathan "Art.Vandelay" Dokler$5,240

After WSOP bracelet winner Galen "turkmalloy" Hall eliminated "Retilit" on the money bubble, the tournament saw the 143 remaining players start falling at a rapid pace.

Among the notables to cash were two-time bracelet winner Kevin "Xpugn0" Eyster (61st - $1,071), Justin "cheersfive" Liberto (42nd - $1,453), Jesse "MrJesseJames" Sylvia (34th - $1,721), Anthony "heheh" Zinno (20th - $2,103), and Christopher "DontBluffMe1" Ryan (11th - $4,054).

Final Table Action

Not surprisingly, the final table was a quick affair with Jonathan "Art.Vandelay" Dokler becoming the first victim after his pocket kings were set up by eventual champ Hoop holding a pair of fives.

Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja, Wendy "Cardthartic" Freedman both fell in race opportunities while Mycheal "JJcorrado87" Robertson fell after Martin "bathroomline" Zamani connected on the river.

With five players remaining the stacks were extremely shallow with the big stack having just 10 big blinds. With six-minute levels, it was only a matter of time before players hit the rail including Matthew "Bizpoker18" Beier after he missed his heart flush and Zamani fell quickly after running into Ryan "sYchoSiD" Hohner's aces.

Three-handed action saw Hohner win a race with big slick against Guo Liang "ct188" Chen holding a pair of threes. After back-to-back eliminations, Hohner almost evened the stacks but he was still a little short and couldn't get anything going as Hoop tripped him out the tournament in second place.

The next tournament on the schedule – Event #5: NLH 8-Max – will take place at 3 p.m. PDT on Monday. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will once again be reporting all the action, so be sure to tune in then to see who captures the fourth bracelet of the 2021 WSOP!

Ryan "sYchoSiD" Hohner Eliminated in 2nd Place ($45,670)

Ryan Hohner
Ryan Hohner

Blinds 140,000/280,000/35,000

Ryan "sYchoSiD" Hohner limed-in on the button only to call the 1,120,000 raise from "Steelvikes7".

"Steelvikes7" led out on every street, 737,500 after the {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, 1,937,500 after the {6-Hearts} turn and moved all in for 7,660,000 after the {k-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Hohner called every bet putting his 5,953,300 stack at risk and both hands were revealed. Hohner showed {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a two-pair but it was no good as "Steelvikes7" held trips {a-Spades}{7-Spades} to win the tournament.

Guo Liang "ct188" Chen Eliminated in 3rd Place ($32,168)

Blinds 140,000/280,000/35,000

Ryan "sYchoSiD" Hohner raised to 560,000 from the button Guo Liang "ct188" Chen three-bet all in for 1,411,563 and Hohner called it.

Hohner held the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} with a chance to knock out Chen who had the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

The flop came the {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs} to hit Hohner. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, the river came the {q-Hearts} to end the run for Chen in 3rd place.

Blinds 120,000/240,000/30,000

Martin "bathroomline" Zamani raised all in on the button for 2,523,443 and Ryan "sYchoSiD" Hohner isolated from the small blind.

Ryan "sYchoSiD" Hohner: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Martin "bathroomline" Zamani: {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Zamani was behind needing help and the {2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop gave him a gutshot straight draw. The {k-Clubs} turn gave Zamani two more outs but the {q-Hearts} river wasn't the one he wanted to see as his tournament ended in fourth place for $22,950.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. They checked to the {2-Clubs} on the turn and checked again to the {9-Hearts} on the river.

Beier had the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} but was no good as the {k-Clubs}{4-Spades} won it for Steelvikes7.
