Winter Goes for a Small Bluff

Level 30 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Sean Winter limped in on the button and Christoph Vogelsang checked his option. The flop came {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and both players checked through to the {k-Diamonds} on the turn and the {8-Hearts} on the river.

After Vogelsang checked a third time, Winter finally threw in a bet of 32,000. Vogelsang quickly called and Winter tabled {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for just five-high. Vogelsang showed {k-Spades}{6-Spades} for a pair of kings and was awarded the pot.

Winter Gets Some Back With Flush

Level 30 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Just before the blinds went up, Sean Winter limped and then called a raise to 75,000 against Christoph Vogelsang.

The dealer spread the {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Vogelsang check-called for 52,000, then both players checked the {q-Hearts} turn.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board, Vogelsang checked, Winter bet 85,000, and Vogelsang went into the tank. After some time, he took off the hood from his head and ran his fingers through his hair while contemplating his decision, before he ultimately called.

Winter tabled {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} to take the pot with a flush, as Vogelsang mucked.

Vogelsang Extends his Lead

Level 29 : 10,000/15,000, 0 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Sean Winter had a bet of 190,000 in front of him with 130,000 in the pot. Christoph Vogelsang took a couple of minutes before sticking in a call.

The river brought the {q-Clubs} and Vogelsang tanked for nearly five minutes before placing a bet of 400,000. Winter looked frustrated as he squirmed in his seat while Vogelsang turtled on the table.

"You think I was good?" Winter said to PokerNews as he showed his {7-Spades}{6-Clubs} before eventually folding.

"You really f***ed me there," Winter continued to Vogelsang.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Vogelsang checked again. Winter sized up a bet of 58,000 this time and Vogelsang stuck around for the {j-Hearts} on the river. Winter Calls Vogelsang's Hand

Level 29 : 10,000/15,000, 0 ante

Blinds: 6,000/12,000

Sean Winter limped in on the button and Christoph Vogelsang checked his option. The flop came {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {a-Hearts} on the turn.

Vogelsang checked again and Winter threw in a bet of 19,000 which Vogelsang called. The river was the {6-Clubs} and Vogelsang checked for the third time. Winter splashed in a bet of 78,000 and Vogelsang thought for a few minutes before finally calling.

"Queen-seven is good," Winter said as he tabled {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Indeed Vogelsang tabled {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for just a pair of queens to win the hand.

Jonathan Jaffe Eliminated in 6th Place ($75,045)

Level 29 : 10,000/15,000, 0 ante
Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe

Dan Smith opened to 35,000, Jonathan Jaffe three-bet to 140,000, and Smith shoved. Jaffe called for his stack of approximately 850,000.

Jonathan Jaffe: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Dan Smith: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The two were flipping, and the {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop kept Jaffe ahead. The {4-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, but the {k-Hearts} spiked the river to improve Smith and eliminate Jaffe.

Jaffe receives $75,045 for his fourth-round exit, while Dan Smith will face off against Dario Sammartino tomorrow in the semifinals.

Chance Kornuth Eliminated in 7th Place ($75,045)

Level 28 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth was down early but started to work his way back to even in the match vs Dario Sammartino. However, after a couple of preflop raises, the two players found themselves all in and it was Kornuth at risk for around 760,000.

Chance Kornuth: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Dario Sammartino: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

"Ahhh, I knew you were strong," Kornuth said when the cards were tabled. The board ran out {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs} which provided no help to Kornuth who was ousted in the fourth round.
