[Online] $600 Deepstack Championship
Day 1 Completed
William "swaggyb" Corvino has won WSOP Bracelet Online Event #5 - $600 Online Deepstack Championship of the 2022 WSOP to win a coveted WSOP Gold Bracelet and the biggest recorded cash of his career for a cool $149,319.
Corvino from Staten Island, New York outlasted 1,248 players to take his first bracelet and the lion-share of the $938,520 prize pool. The tournament lasted for nearly 13 hours including an epic heads-up battle between Corvino and the runner-up Pavel "easygame1" Plesuv who received $92,350.36 for his troubles.
The winning moment came when Plesuv shoved with pocket threes and was called by Corvino with king-jack. A king in the window was enough for Corvino to win the pot and the tournament.
Place | Player | Country | Prize |

JJ "artiliu" Liu was amongst the chip leaders for much of the day. She was the first player to pass the 500,000 mark and one of the first players to pass the 1,000,000 mark. Liu could not keep the pace up for the rest of the evening and eventually finished in 48th place for $2,628.
Ryan "Adopt_aDogg0" Leng was unfortunate enough to don the moniker bubble boy after suffering a sick cooler as his big slick was cracked by ace-queen when his opponent "greekk007" hit a queen on the turn.
Dan "bashpup1961" Schmiech was the first person to leave the final table when Plesuv's pocket jacks held on against Schmiech's king-queen. Taylor "ReadyGambo" Black and Jeremiah "freestylerr" Williams exited the tournament not long after.
Jesse "Patient0" Yaginuma finished sixth, and British player Yudhishter "yud10" Jaswal finished fifth after being reduced to less than four big blinds before Nicolas "Zskrrrrt" Zolofra eliminated him. Zolofora finished fourth after his big slick ran into Plesuv's pocket rockets.
But Corvino ended up winning the whole thing after knocking out Alex "SunDSolar" Soares into third place which kicked off a marathon heads-up battle with Plesuv. Corvino had around two-thirds of chips in play going into heads-up but the chip lead swung between the pair until eventually, Corvino won out in the end.
