Obst called and led out on the flop of 3♥K♦10♠. Arieh raised all in and Obst called to put the recent five-time bracelet winner at risk.

On the tail end of a heads-up pot to the K♥6♠3♠7♣A♣ river, Hal Rotholz checked and then faced a pot-sized bet of 475,000 by Josh Arieh. Rotholz tanked for a short while and then called but mucked to the A♠6♥ of Arieh.

Shortly after, Rotholz opened to 110,000 on the button and James Obst three-bet to 400,000 in the small blind. Rotholz checked his stack carefully for more than three minutes and then clicked it up to 1,410,000, earning a snap fold from Obst.

Obst Charges Ahead on Secondary Table

Talal Shakerchi won a pot off Hal Rotholz when he made a ten-eight, as Rotholz exposed a paired seven after a checked down final draw.

Shakerchi then lost some chips to James Obst before Obst raised the button and table short stack Daniel Alaei called out of the big blind. Alaei discarded two versus one and check-called a bet. On the second draw, Alaei discarded two versus one again and then check-folded to another bet. Obst flashed a number two before collecting the pot.

Shakerchi lost more chips to Obst when he discarded three and two against a patted second draw of Obst, who gained further ground on the secondary table.

Tong check-called a bet of 120,000 and the 8♥ turn was checked through. After the 6♦ river, Tong fired a bet of 525,000 and Rast snap folded.

Matthew Ashton then raised in the cutoff for Tong to call on the button. Ashton bet the 8♥2♥2♣ flop for 90,000 and called a raise to 215,000 by Tong. They checked the 3♦ turn and J♣ river for Ashton to announce a jack, revealing the A♠K♥Q♥J♦ as the winning hand.
