Arieh Chips Up; Rotholz Chips Down

On the tail end of a heads-up pot to the K637A river, Hal Rotholz checked and then faced a pot-sized bet of 475,000 by Josh Arieh. Rotholz tanked for a short while and then called but mucked to the A6 of Arieh.

Shortly after, Rotholz opened to 110,000 on the button and James Obst three-bet to 400,000 in the small blind. Rotholz checked his stack carefully for more than three minutes and then clicked it up to 1,410,000, earning a snap fold from Obst.

Shakerchi then lost some chips to James Obst before Obst raised the button and table short stack Daniel Alaei called out of the big blind. Alaei discarded two versus one and check-called a bet. On the second draw, Alaei discarded two versus one again and then check-folded to another bet. Obst flashed a number two before collecting the pot.

Shakerchi lost more chips to Obst when he discarded three and two against a patted second draw of Obst, who gained further ground on the secondary table.
