The Team Betfair Prop Bet

Inside Team Betfair HQ
Inside Team Betfair HQ
From The Empire......

From our working station, we can see through the window into the Team Betfair lounge, and at the moment they are hard at work. One guy is multi-tabling 4 tables in the BetFair Online Poker Room, while his neighbour is playing some form or real time role playing game.

Snoopy and I have a prop bet going, as to who will give up first (the loser buys dinner). Snoopy likes the multi-tabler, claiming "He is only playing small and his bankroll can handle the swings", whereas my money is riding on the Role Player as his screen is chaotic and he seems in the zone.

It looks like the declining pace of action is not just boring for the players.......

Bouncin' Round the Room

From the Empire...

Action has slowed down a bit this afternoon downstairs in the poker room. Barry Greenstein is minding his time while thumbing through a copy of Bluff Magazine. On another table, Patrick Bruel is living the high life as one of the many lovely mid-drift exposing masseuses is giving him a full head massage.

THE FIFTY-- The result of a pre-flop raising war between Jan Sorensen and Robert Mizrachi was the latter pushing in his remaining 7,500 in chips and getting a quick call. Mizrachi turned over {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and had run smack into Sorensen's {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}. {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} on the board, and Mizrachi made an early night of it.

Looking Over My Shoulder

From the floor of the Empire Casino...

It seems as though I have to look over shoulder as Kirk Morrison has just returned from the feature table with the following chipcounts:

Marco Traniello = 35,000
Phil Hellmuth = 36,000
Maria Maceiras = 11,000

Sheesh, he wins millions at the table and now he's after my job. I think I'm going to have to warn him off. Either that or get rid of him by shouting 'free bar'.

Take Me to the River.... Nuno Geraldes Doubles Up

Nuno Geraldes Likes the River

From the floor of the Empire Casino...

Nuno Geraldes was short-stacked and moved all in. RW Stain moved all in over the top and everyone folded.

Stain: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Geraldes: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The flop was the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and Geraldes perked up since he picked up more outs with a flush draw. The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Stain still led. The river was the {10-Hearts}, which gave Geraldes a full house. That was good enough to win the pot and the young gun doubled up to almost 9,000.

Finger Massage

Sherkhan warms up those fingers in the Omaha event

From the floor of the Empire Casino...

Sherkhan Farnood, currently on 35,000, is enjoying what is my first experience of a finger massage. The masseuses are clearly very talented here, attacking body parts that you simply wouldn't associate with a massage. I even saw ear lobes being given the once over the other day!

I've been tempted all week to request a massage, but I fear my muscular physique might be too much for them to handle and eventually wear them out. Perhaps I should ask for a finger and ear lobe massage instead.
