The field for this €5,300 Pot-Limit Omaha event turned out to be just shy of one hundred, as a total of 97 players hit the felt yesterday to compete for the third bracelet of the World Series of Poker Europe. After eight levels of play on Day 1, Erich Kollmann sits on the top spot coming into Day 2.
Day 1 occurred at a lightning pace as the 97 entrants quickly became 25 after only eight levels. Players such as David "ODB" Baker, Jennifer Tilly, Dan Shak, Andy Frankenberger, John Juanda, Max Pescatori, and Phil Hellmuth all turned up on Day 1 only to find the rail before the day concluded.
Notable names returning to the tables today must only conquer 24 others to earn themselves a gold WSOPE bracelet. Solid Start For Hachem
Bruno Fitoussi opened with a raise to 1,800 from under the gun and Joe Hachem three-bet to an unknown amount. Action folded back to Fitoussi and he moved out enough chips to call.
The flop came down 
and Fitoussi checked. Hachem dipped into his stack and came out with a bet of 7,700.
Fitoussi inquired how much Hachem was sitting on behind and Hachem told him that it was about 11,000. Eventually Fitoussi relented and mucked his hand.
Hachem's face relaxed into a smile and he showed the table 
for top set of aces. A jovial Hachem scooped up his new chips and was able to start play on Day 2 on a solid note.

Cautious Start

Play has been underway for almost 30 minutes, but so far all pots have been fairly small. Players seem to be enjoying a little quiet level after all the craziness from last night.
All throughout the day there will be lots of play, and right now the average stack is worth 72 big blinds. As there are no antes in Pot-Limit games it will be a very steady day.
Azor Eliminates Lechich and Niel in Massive Pot
We caught up with the action to see four players looking down at a flop of 
. Ran Azor led out with a bet of 4,800 and was called by [Removed:163]. Tino Lechich wasted no time moving all in for about 22,000 and Xavier Niel, who was sitting on about 24,000, moved all in as well.
Action was back on Azor and he stood up from the table.
"Pocket queens, pocket nines, pocket fours," Azor said as he pointed at his three opponents at the table. Azor then let out a laugh and moved his stack all in as well.
Sheikh then shook his head and after a minute folded his hand. "I can't believe I'm folding this, he said" as he threw away top pair and a flush draw.
With Sheikh's hand in the muck, the remaining three hands were tabled:

Lechich was ahead with top set of queens, but Azor picked up more outs when the 
rolled off on the turn.
"Any two!" shouted Azor, hoping to make a wheel on the river. "Any two or any diamond!"
The deck obliged to Azor's request, as the 
rolled off on the river, making his wheel and eliminating two players in the process. Azor is currently sitting on about 105,000 in chips.

Davis Takes Some From Mizrachi
On a 
board Martin Davis checked to Michael Mizrachi who fired out a pot bet worth 16,700. Davis tanked for a bit before eventually calling with just 10,000 chips left behind.
The river brought out the 
and both players checked. Davis turned over 
and took down the pot with kings up.
"Nice call," Chuc Hoang who complimented his table mate.
"What do you mean? He was behind. I mean, he had a lot of outs," Mizrachi said claiming he already had two pair. Davis took down this pot and he's now in a much more comfortable position.

Small Loss For Kollmann With Aces
Douglas Corning just raised to 1,600 from the button and Erich Kollmann defended his big blind. The flop came down 
and both players checked.
On the turn the 
hit and Kollmann lead out for 2,100. Corning called, and the river brought out the
