Kitai Triumphs Over Trumper

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

The flop read {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} with a pot of around 16,000 and Simon Trumper, sitting in the big blind checked. The player in the hijack bet 2,100 and was called by Davidi Kitai, in the cutoff, and Trumper called too.

The turn brought them the {10-Clubs}, both Trumper and the hijack check-called the 1,000 bet of Kitai.

The river completed the board with the {Q-Hearts}, Trumper now fired 7,000, the player in the hijack went into the thank. After about a minute he decided to fold. Kitai sat up and thought about it for a while but ended up making the call.

Trumper showed {K-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives but Kitai had him beat with {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} in his hand for the higher pair and the pot.
