Well, it's been a long night and everyone's feeling it. From the players to the media to the tournament staff. Finally though, Day 2 has come to an end and with 20 players remaining. Play lasted just nine hours today, but for many it seemed like days. It's just that time of the WSOP when things start to become a true grind. For a handful of those enduring the grind, they were able to overcome the exhaustion and push through to make it through the day to return to Day 3, keeping their bracelet hopes alive in this event.

Going into the final day, Nikolai Yakovenko will be the chip leader, bagging up 310,000 in chips. Not too far behind him is Matt Vengrin with 276,600. There's also still plenty of fire power left with big names such as John D'Agostino, Dario Minieri and Kirk Morrison.

All remaining players will return tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. local time to play down to a winner. Who's it going to be? Well, you'll have to tune back in to PokerNews to find out. With 20 players coming back, it's more than likely going to be a long day and night tomorrow so get ready for another endurance test. We'll see you all then.

Wice Takes a Bite out of Minieri

We showed up a little late to the party, but we did manage to catch Dario Minieri check-calling a 44,000 chip bet from Alexander Wice on a board with spread across it.

Wice tabled for a king-high flush, and Minieri mucked. Wice is now up to the 195,000 chip mark with Minieri down to 110,000.

Sung Finds Straight on the River to Eliminate Shoreman

All the chips were committed to the pot preflop in what would be Jonathan Shoreman's last hand of the tournament, care of Steve Sung.

Shoreman was likely feeling good about things when he saw he had Sung dominated. The flop came down , and Shoreman's confidence may have still been good. With the on the turn, Shoreman would have the best hand so long as a four or deuce didn't come on the river. But as fate would have it, the river was the , giving Sung a straight and Shoreman a ticket home.

David Steicke was all in preflop for a little over 12,000 chips. Stephen Su made the call. Su had just crippled Steicke and now had him on the ropes in this one. Su held the and Steicke the .

The board ran out to leave Steicke in the dust and send him to the rail.

Su Crushes Steicke

Stephen Su raised to 8,500 and David Steicke called. On the flop of , Su fired 15,000 and Steicke made the call.

The turn added the to the board and Su fired 40,000. Steicke moved in and Su made the call. He held the and was up against the for Steicke.

The river was the and gave Su a full house. He didn't need to boat as his trips were good enough, but he got it anyway. He knocked Steicke all the way down to just 13,000 in chips and boomed his way up to nearly 200,000.

Singer's Swan Song

David Singer and Jesse Martin recently got involved in a huge stud hand that would end up being the last of the night for Singer.

Things started out innocently enough with Singer calling third and fourth street raises from Martin. However when Martin made a set of sevens on fifth street, Singer picked up two pair. Martin started off by betting with Singer raising, Martin four-betting and Singer calling.

Singer was all in by sixth street after re-raising a bet from Martin and failed to fill up.
