Seiver Creeping on the Come Up

Pot-Limit Omaha

Scott Seiver has continued his climb back up the leaderboard after taking down a nice pot against Bryn Kenney.

We didn't catch the preflop action, but we did see Seiver bet 10,000 from middle position into a flop reading {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Kenney called and we were treated to the {2-Clubs} on the turn where Seiver check-called a 14,000 bet from Kenney. Both players checked when the {7-Clubs} came on the river.

Seiver flipped up {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flush and Kenney mucked. Seiver is now up to 175,000 chips and Kenney is at 90,000.

Makarov Misses Day 3

No-Limit Hold'em

Alexey Makarov had moved all in from the button for his last 14,500 and was called by Nikolai Yakovenko in the small blind.

Makarov: {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Yakovenko: {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The board was completely useless to Makarov, running out {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Spades} and he was eliminated about an hour before play concludes for the night.

Yu Outta Here

No-Limit Hold'em

Dario Minieri may have just lost a pot to Steve Sung, but he picked up some ground when he was able to eliminate Ben Yu.

Minieri: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Yu: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

All the chips were in the middle preflop, and if the situation looks familiar, it's because Minieri had the same hand when he eliminated Jeremiah Degreef, who had the same hand as Yu (suits not included).

Minieri didn't have as much as a sweat this time around. The board ran out {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Minieri collected the chips as Yu collected his belongings.

Sung Picks Up Big Pot, Elimination

Steve Sung
Steve Sung

Stud 8/b

Yueqi Zhu: (X)(X) / {5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds} / (X)
Dario Minieri: (X)(X) / {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades} / (X)
Steve Sung: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades} / {2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} / {10-Diamonds}

Yueqi Zhu was all in on third street with two callers in Dario Minieri and Steve Sung. The two remaining players weren't about to check it down with the hope of eliminating Zhu. Minieri bet on fourth, fifth and six streets with Sung calling. Sung made a bet on the river and Minieri called, but mucked when Sung tabled his hand. Zhu mucked as well and was on his way home for the evening.

So Long, Frank Kassela

Stud

We've got another hand where a player was all in to start the action, this time care of Frank Kassela and Chris Dombrowski.

Kassela: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} / {q-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} / {5-Hearts}
Dombrowski: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} / {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} / (X)

Kassela was behind from the get-go and failed to pull ahead as Dombrowski picked up a pair of queens and all of the chips.

Tehan Checks Out

Razz

Joe Tehan had all his chips on third street with David Steicke willing to go along for the ride.

Tehan: {3-}{2-} / {7-}{3-}{k-}{5-} / {2-}
Steicke: {a-}{3-} / {6-}{10-}{7-}{8-} / {5-}

Unfortunately for Tehan, Steicke was ahead every step of the way. With the win, Steicke is up to 96,000 and Tehan is on his way to the cage.
