Nathan Bjerno Leads The Final 13 of the WSOPC at the Bicycle Casino

It was a long day here at the Bike, but it sure was an eventful one. At the end of the day though it was recent WSOPC ring winner Nathan Bjerno leading the pack heading into the final day and all the players left are chasing him.
Action started fast and furious today as players just went flying out the door one by one. Almost as soon as action started today we lost Eric Baldwin, Soi Nguyen, Christina Lindley and Allan Le.
Also busting out short of the money was last year's champion Freddy Deeb. After he bought in late, Deeb was already sitting on a short stack and ended up getting it all in with 
. He was ahead but it couldn't hold up against his opponents 
.
It wasn't long after that we finally hit that ever elusive money bubble. And our bubble boy was none other than actor James Woods, who's well known for his role in the film Casino. The executor was none other than former WSOPC champion Doug Lee. On the hand Doug Lee had 
against Woods 
, they both flopped an , but Lee's kicker gave him the knock out and burst the money bubble.
That wasn't the only time Doug Lee was stirring up trouble. In another hand, he managed to pull off a huge suck out to stay alive. Doug Lee ended up rivering the nut straight with 
against his opponents 
which flopped top pair.
One of the players to build up a big stack after the bubble burst was Suzie Zhao. At one point she was close to the chip lead with 660,000, but ended up getting in a huge pot with Nathan Bjerno to bust just after the bubble for the biggest pot of the tournament at that time. Zhao was all in with 
for a flush draw against Bjerno's 
for a flopped set. Zhao did not catch up and she was eliminated in 37th place earning $3,895.
Towards the end of the day Bjerno took another huge pot off Huicun Qaio to gain the chip lead heading to the final table. In the hand, action started with Bjerno raising to 32,000 in the cutoff. Qiao three bet on the button to 100,000, and Bjerno came along. The flop came down 
, and Bjerno check called a bet of 150,000 from Qiao. The turn brought the 
, and Bjerno once again checked. Qiao leaned over to look at Bjerno's stack, and after about 20 seconds of thought, he said "all in!"
It was a massive bet, as it represented the 817,000 left in Bjerno's stack. He was in the tank for about three minutes, when he hunched over in his seat, and said "I call."

It was a great call by Bjerno, as Qiao was shoving with complete air. However, Bjerno still had to sweat an ace on the river, but that card was the 
. After that hand, Bjerno was up to 2.1 million, while Qiao tumbled down to 448,000. Bjerno ended up finishing the day with 1,850,000.

Aces Good For Chavaillaz
Nathan Bjerno raised to 40,000 in early position, and action folded to Baptiste Chavaillaz in the small blind. He made it 100,000 to go, and when it got back to Bjerno, he called.
The flop came 
, and Chavaillaz kept the pressure on with a 125,000 bet. Bjerno called, and both players checked the on the turn. The river was the , and Chavaillaz checked once again. Bjerno fired out 125,000, and Chavaillaz beat him into the pot and turned over 
. It beat the 
of Bjerno, and after that pot, Chavaillaz jumps up to 1.7 million, while Bjerno drops to 1.8 million.

Brask Makes Costly Mistake Against Lee
There was already about 175,000 in the middle when we got to the table in a heads up pot between Doug Lee and Greg Brask. The flop read 
, and Brask fired out 100,000. Lee quickly called, and the turn was the . Just like on the flop, Brask fired 100,000, and Lee almost beat him into the pot.
The river was the 
, and both players quickly checked. Brask announced "two pair," then looked at his hand and said "I'm sorry I just have one pair I misread my hand," and tabled 
for just a pair of sevens. It was a fortunate mistake for Lee, as he tabled a winning 
.
"I thought I had 
for two pair. That shows you how tired I am," said an understandably frustrated Brask. After that pot, he is down to 645,000, while Lee jumps back up to 875,000.

Andrew Higgins Eliminated in 14th Place ($13,355)
"How Do You Counterfeit Tens?"
That's what Andrew Higgins was left wondering after he lost his all in.
Higgins shoved all in preflop from the button for 255,000 and was quickly called by Zhong Chen in the big blind.

"I''ve got two overs," Chen said before the flopped rolled out, but he would have much more than that after the flop came 
. Chen picked up not only counterfeit outs, but a royal flush draw to boot.
The turn though almost ended it when the 
hit, leaving Higgins drawing dead to just one of the two remaning s.
The river was no help unfortunately and Higgens was eliminated in 14th place for $13,355 while Zhong Chen moved to around 1,500,00 in chips.

Brian Bumpas Eliminated in 15th Place ($13,355)
We didn't catch the hand as it happened, but Bumpas told us after what happened. According to him, he shoved all in for his last 144,000 when it folded to him in the small blind. Bumpas had , but unfortunately for him, David Malka woke up with in the big blind. Bumpas couldn't improve, and he was eliminated, while Malka jumps back up to 675,000.
