Multi-way Madness Ends Antonio Fazzolari

Fazzolari Eliminated
Fazzolari Eliminated
After jumping out to the early chip lead, Antonio Fazzolari has now jumped the rail after finding himself eliminated.

Earlier, Fazzolari was involved in a monster multi-way pot that knocked him down to 4,000 in chips and it would be yet another mutli-way pot that would send him to the rail.

On a flop of {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} Fazzolari, got all his chips in the middle with a flush draw holdig {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and found both Nathan Sawyers {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Angelo Scicchitano {4-Hearts}{5-Clubs} all too happy to make the call. Fazzolari wasn’t able to catch his flush as the board ran out {q-Spades}{6-Spades}, much to the delight of Sawyers, who tripled up to 8,000 with his flopped straight.

Sach Surviving

Ben Savage opened with a raise before a short-stacked Jim Sachinidis moved all in over the top for his last 2, 400 chips. Savage decided to make the call and tabled {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but Sachinidis had him dominated with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

The board fell {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Sachinidis more than doubled up with his pair of queens, leaving Savage crippled.

Must Be Nice

David Saab is running good.
David Saab is running good.
"It's ok," said David Saab upon seeing that his {3-Spades} {3-Diamonds} had been outflopped by an opponent's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} on a board of {Q-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}. Saab had re-raised preflop to 1,500 after his opponent opened to 700. His opponent called that raise, then checked the flop. It was a snap call once Saab moved all in.

"I've got two outs," Saab reminded his opponent. He hit one straight away with the turn {3-Hearts}. The river was the {9-Diamonds}, not a card that improved his opponent. As a result, Saab dragged the pot and is up to 18,000 in chips.

Griffiths Grabs the Early Chip Lead

Antonio Fazzolari put in quite a bit of work to build his starting stack from 5,000 to about 18,000. Turns out it was all for nothing. He played a three-handed pot with Tony Paino and David Griffiths. The dealer spread out a flop of {J-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. We're not sure what the action was before we walked up to the table, but 7,000 chips were in the middle. Fazzolari moved all in for 14,500 total. Paino called all in for less.

Griffiths must have imagined both Fazzolari and Paino turning into giant sacks of money (complete with dollar signs painted on them). He over-called for his last 10,500 and tabled {2-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} for a set of deuces. Each of his opponent showed ace-king; neither improved on the turn {6-Diamonds} or river {10-Clubs}. Griffiths scooped the whole 32,000 chip pot, sending Paino to the rail in the process and knocking Fazzolari all the way back down to 4,100.

The Old "Chip and a Chair"

Nathan Sawyers recently had one foot out of the door as he was reduced to nothing but a single 100-denomination chip. However the old "chip and a chair" saying was the talk of the table as Sawyers began to mount a comeback.

After several double ups, he found himself with nearly 2,000 in chips and all in with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} against the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} of Antonio Fazzolari. The board ran out {5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Sawyers now incredibly finds himself with around 4,000 chips!

English on the Rail

The rule is "English only at the table" but that rule doesn't apply to Tim English (unfortunately for him). English moved all in for 2,025 from the small blind after the button player opened for 600. Both the big blind and the button called the raise. On a flop of {Q-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}, the big blind bet 2,000 and the button called.

The turn came {A-Spades}. The big blind bet 2,000 a second time, then folded when the button raised all in for a total of 6,375. That meant the side pot belonged to the button. He showed {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} for top two pair against English's {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}, top pair. The river {9-Diamonds} sent English to the rail.

Jim Sachindis Eliminates a Player

Still way behind the eight-ball, Jim Sachinidis found some relief by almost doubling up and eliminating a fellow short-stacked player.

With all the chips in the middle preflop, Sachinidis was in excellent shape holding {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to his opponent's {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. There were some slight worries for Sachinidis on the turn, with the board reading {4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, giving his opponent a flush draw. But the river blanked the {8-Spades}, sending his opponent to the rail.

Sachinidis still has a fair bit of work to do, sitting at 3,000 with the average stack at 6,850.
