Fallen Angel

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Angel Guillen - Eliminated
Angel Guillen - Eliminated

Angel Guillen will not pick up his first Australian flag here in the 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event. We just got word he was knocked out in a blind battle where his {A-}{10-} didn't improve versus {A-}{J-}. Guillen started the hand with just 13 big blinds, none of which are in his possession right now.

Guillen has a lot more big blinds to play with right now as he went straight to the $1,000 event that's going on across the room.

Payne Calls Down with Bottom Pair

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Action folded to Jeffrey Bridge in the small blind, and he raised to 3,000. Brian Payne called from the big blind, and the flop came down {10-}{8-}{2-}. Bridge bet 5,000, and Payne called.

The turn was a {3-}, and Bridge fired 8,000. Payne called again.

The river was a {J-}, and Bridge bet 11,000. Payne called.

"I got nothing," said Bridge as he shook his head. He then turned up {6-}{5-} for just six high. Payne showed {5-}{2-} for a pair of deuces and won the pot.

Tran Flops a Full House but Gets Counterfeited

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Kenny Tran (Day 1b) - Eliminated
Kenny Tran (Day 1b) - Eliminated

"Sick-Call" Kenny Tran just suffered a sick bad beat when he flopped a full house and still lost.

We caught the action on a {K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop when Tran got his remaining 26,500 all in holding the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and was well ahead of his opponent's {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Tran was primed for a double, and the {Q-Hearts} turn meant all he had to do was dodge an ace, king and queen to do just that. Unfortunately for him, and much to the shock of the entire table, the {Q-Diamonds} spiked on the river to give his opponent a bigger full house.

Tran seemed stunned for a moment but quickly collected himself, shook hands with his vanquisher, and then exited the 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event.

Ramakrishnan Eliminates Another

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

John Dalessandri was all in preflop holding {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and was racing against the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} of Rajkumar Ramakrishnan. Dalessandri seemed hopeful, but that quickly turned to spite when the flop fell {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and gave Ramakrishnan a set. Dalessandri didn't seem to care the {4-Clubs} turn gave him some chops outs as he was already walking off the tournament floor. It gave him a heads start anyway as the {2-Diamonds} river failed to help him.
