Filippi Doubles Through Bloch

Amnon Filippi
Amnon Filippi
Amnon Filippi clashed with Andy Bloch on a flop of {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. All the money went into the middle and the cards were flipped:

Filippi: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Bloch: {Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The turn and river arrive {4-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Bloch slips to 18,500 while Filippi's full house gets him back to 23,000 chips.

Liz Lieu Eliminated

Liz Lieu
Liz Lieu
On a board of {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{A-Spades}, Liz Lieu and Benjamin Vinson got it all in.

Lieu: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Vinson: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Vinson was ahead with a straight, but Lieu had outs for a boat. She missed when the {3-Spades} fell on the river. Vinson won the pot and Liz Lieu was eliminated.

Bloch Insta-Calls With Jacks

Andy Bloch
Andy Bloch
Six players limped into the pot and Andy Bloch bumped it up from the big blind, making it 1,600 to go. Amnon Filippi called from under-the-gun before the player in seat 9 decided to go all in for his last 8,650. The action passes back to Bloch who insta-calls while Filippi steps aside.

Bloch flipped over {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and seemed to be very confident that his hand was good as his opponent sheepishly revealed {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

The flop was virtually enough for Bloch as it arrived {8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} giving Bloch a set. The turn and river came {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Bloch adds the nice pot to his growing stack.

A Walk Among the Giants

The Table of Death
The Table of Death
Full Tilt Poker qualifier Andrew Laetchford had possibly one of the worst table draws today, landing at the TV feature table. Surrounded by Allen Cunningham, Matt Sexton, Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke, Raymond Rahme, Lee Watkinson, and Gary Benson, the Englishman admitted to us that his table is "a little scary." So far, he's holding his own and is up to 23,000 in chips.

Erik Seidel Takes Out Paul Sexton

Paul Sexton=Busto
Paul Sexton=Busto
On a flop of {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} Erik Seidel bet 3,500, Paul Sexton raised to 10,000, Seidel moved all in and Sexton called.

Seidel {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Sexton {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

Seidel flopped a set of fives and Sexton was looking for another king to survive. The turn, though, was the {8-Spades}, the river was the {8-Diamonds} and Sexton was eliminated. After the hand, Seidel's stack was up to 32,000.
