Minh Nguyen Eliminated

We didn't catch Minh Nguyen's bustout hand, but Mike Matusow said it was "pretty gross." Apparently, Nguyen got his stack in on the turn with a flush against another player's full house. Nyguyen's day ends here in Level 5, and Matusow is the only bracelet winner remaining at the table.

The Set Up

Mike Matusow decided 800 chips wasn't too much to call off in late position from one early position bettor.

But when Michael Pempin made it 3,100 from the button, and the player in the big blind four-bet it up to 10k, both the early position bettor and Matusow got out of the way.

Pempin shoved and after the big blind called with queens, he laid pocket kings down on the felt. The {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop just about ended it, and although the {q-Hearts} turn made everybody look, the {2-Spades} river ensured Pempin would double.

Belsky Continues His Climb

Rich Belsky
Rich Belsky

Nothing seems to be slowing down Rich Belsky today. The Friend of Team DeepStacks recently got involved in a pot that pushed him above the 60K mark, making him one of the bigger stacks we've seen today.

With around 3,500 in the pot preflop, Belsky and two others saw a flop of {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. The player in the small blind led out for 2,025, and Belsky announced a raise before tossing in a single 5,000 chip. The third player folded and the small blind decided to call, leaving around 12,000 behind.

The {9-Spades} hit the turn and the small blind check to Belsky, who bet 20,000. The threat of being eliminated was enough to force the small blind to fold, and Belsky raked in a pot worth more than 13,000.

The Levy Ain't Breaking

Roothlusness.
Roothlusness.

DeepStacks Pro Adam Levy continued his ascent up the leaderboard moments ago, winning yet another small pot.

When a shorter stack in middle position made it 600, Levy did more than just defend his big blind, he raised it up to 1,600.

The player called, but when Levy threw out two brown 5k chips at the {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, enough to cover his entire stack, he reluctantly folded a pair of threes.

According to Twitter, Levy's big move came a little earlier, although he might want to be careful what he wishes for:

"Just 4 outed a guy on the turn #noproblem. 95ss vs 87dd on 956 flop. Turn 9d, gave him str8 flush redraw. Kinda wanted him to get there." - Adam "Roothlus" Levy

Somebody Got There

Big blind special.
Big blind special.

DeepStacks Pro Randal Flowers continues to enjoy battling in the blinds here in Niagara.

When the small blind limped into his big blind moments ago, he checked is option and the two went heads-up to an {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. The small blind checked, but check-raised when Flowers bet 200 chips, making it 600 to see a turn.

Flowers obliged, and even called a 1,025-chip bet after the {q-Clubs} turn.

"Uh oh, somebody got there," Flowers said as the {3-Hearts} river fell, pairing the board.

The small blind checked, but when Flowers threw out a 1k bet, he called. Flowers turned over {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and apparently no one got there, because top pair was good enough to win the pot.

The Grind Continues

Not frowning anymore.
Not frowning anymore.

After a slow start, DeepStacks Pro Michael Mizrachi has completely turned things around here in Niagara.

In fact, he just moved up close to 50k after pushing one opponent off a {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} board with a 21k river bet that had him just about all in.

The move to the feature table appears to have been a good one for The Grinder, who showed {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} once he got the fold he was looking for.

More Notables

We've spotted a few more familiar faces in the 200-plus player field today. Nachman "The Landlord" Berlin, Ahn Van Nguyen and Travell Thomas are scattered around the room, and Berlin has nearly doubled his stack already.

Berlin is best known for his exploits online, but he took second in a WSOP event in 2011 for $419,173, and also got some TV time during his deep run in the WSOP Main Event.

Van Nguyen is a former PokerStars Pro with more than $700,000 in live tournament earnings on his resume. The Toronto native's biggest score came in 2007 when he won a World Poker Tour event at Bellagio for $303,320.

Thomas is somewhat of a legend here in Western New York. In 2010, he was named the Seneca Niagara Poker Player of the Year. He's certainly someone we'll be keeping an eye on here as he loves to mix it up.

The Mouth is Open

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The cameras aren't rolling at Mike Matusow's table anymore - but his mouth is.

While folding for an entire orbit, the man they call "The Mouth" has been embroiled in an ongoing conversation about the state of affairs in the NFL.

Poker has now become secondary to the question of whether New York Giants Quarterback Eli Manning is an elite QB.
