And "The Grinder" wasn't even involved. The madness began with Lou Procopio opening to 10,000 from middle position. Randy Pfeifer three-bet to 26,000 on the button, Kyaw Naing called from the big blind, and Procopio opted to four-bet to 82,000. Pfeifer folded and Naing called.
The two players saw a flop of Naing deliberated before moving all in, and Procopio snapped called for his last 64,000. Procopio tabled and had picked off Naing's bluff with . The board bricked out for Naing and Procopio climbed into the top five of the counts with around 320,000. Naing still has about 290,000.
Chris Damick is out and Andy Spears now finds himself in what appears to be the chip lead position after both made two pair in a massive hand on the outer tables.
We caught the action on the flop with close to 40k in the middle and the board reading . Spears made it 16,500 and Damick simply flatted on the button.
The turn came the , Spears shoved and Damick insta-called for 40k and his tournament life with , having flopped two pair. Unfortunately for him, Spears held and had turned a better two pair.
The dealer peeled off the on the river and Damick was done.
Louie Tomassi has gone from zero to hero to start Day 2 here in Niagara. He began play with just 28,000 chips, but now has it up to 120k after busting fellow short stack David Lyle.
It was kings for Tomassi against Lyle's and after a board of bricks Lyle was gone.
That was fast. We've already lost six players today, which means the players will redraw for six six-handed tables. We'll be back after it's all sorted out.

Steve Przybyl, who finished second last year to Randy Pfeifer (also still alive here) got his remaining 60,000 chips in on a flop of . Barry Kruger was also all-in for around 70,000 and Jason Kruger had both players at risk when the card were revealed:
Przybyl:
Kruger:

Waters was out in front with his trip fours, but the on the turn gave Przybyl a better full house. The river changed nothing, and Kruger was sent out the door in 42nd place. Przybyl shot up the leaderboard with close to 200,000, and Waters was left with around 80,000. He busted moments later.
