Patrik Antonius Eliminated

Action folded around to a late position player who put in a standard raise. Stefan Raffay called from the cutoff as did Patrik Antonius from the button. The blinds passed and the three saw the flop come {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}. All three players checked. The turn came the {6-Clubs}. It was checked to Raffay and he bet 3,250. Antonius made the call as did the late position player. All three men watched anxiously as the {8-Clubs} hit the river. It was quickly checked to Antonius and after some careful deliberation he calculatedly pushed out his remaining stack of 8,575. The late position player folded instantly but Raffary went into the tank. He had Antonius barely covered and after roughly four minutes he finally made the call. Antonius rapped the table and coyly flipped up the {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Raffary was visibly excited as he knew his {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} was good. Antonius casually stood up and wished the table good luck as he headed for the exit.

Dario In Action Again!

Dario raises it up on the button and gets a caller from the small blind. They see a flop of {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Dario fires out 1,100 when it is checked to him. His opponent moved all in for 3,475 more. Dario had just over 10,000 left and after asking if he had a set or a flush draw called.

Dario {5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
His opponent {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The turn was good for Dario as it was the {5-Spades} hitting one of his three outs. The river was the {A-Hearts} which in turn hit one of his opponents three outs and Dario is left with 7,000 chips as he doubles a player up.

Mel Judah's Aces Hold Up

After a raise and a call from two early position players, Mel Judah re-raised to 2,000 from the button. The raiser moved all in for roughly 7,600 and the player who called thought for a bit before folding. Judah, who had the all in player covered quickly made the call. The players showed:

Judah: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The flop came perfect for Judah as it read {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}. The turn and river sealed the deal coming the {2-Clubs} and {4-Hearts} respectively. Judah was gracious as he sent the gentlemen home and he now has just over 17,000 chips.

Luca Wins A Big One

Home favourite Luca Pagano opened for a raise to 600 pre-flop and was called by the button. When the three cards were dealt out {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} Luca bet 1,500 which was called. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and the PokerStars Pro bet 3,500 this time which prompted his opponent to move all in for just over 9,000 more. Luca did not think too long and made what seemed to be a reluctant call. However his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} was way ahead of his opponent's {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} and the {2-Hearts} that fell on the river saw Luca scoop a 28,000 chip pot and eliminate a player.

"Gli inglesi Soltanto Alla Tavola"

Despite being a tour spanning a continent not known primarily for it's English speaking, the EPT does adhere to the "English only" rule. Today's field consists of players from 24 different nationalities and while it goes without saying, over a dozen different languages are represented. Conversational chit-chat in a foreign tongue is permitted, but during a hand the rule is "English Only At the Table."
