Spencer Hudson opened the betting with a raise to 11,000 which sparked a flurry of callers. One player folded, Henrik Jeppsson called in the cutoff, Jacob Rasmussen called in the small blind and Juha Lauttamus called in the big blind.
Flop: - The all heart flop was checked around by all four players.
Turn: - The players checked to Jeppsson and he made it 16,000 to play. Rasmussen check-raised to 45,000, folding out everyone except Jeppsson who made the call.
River: - Rasmussen lead out with a 75,000 sending Jeppsson into the tank. He stayed fully submerged for four minutes, replaying the hand and gesticulating the betting actions as he did so. When he came back to the surface he did so with his cards in his hand and he passed them back to the dealer.
Our Day 1b chip leader Mads Wissing has just been eliminated at the hands of Alejandro Sanchez Fernandez. Fernandez raised from the cutoff holding and Wissing moved all-in for 80,000 in the small blind, holding . No queen or ten for Wissing and he will be missing for Day 4.
The biggest pot (easily) of the tournament so far has seen Team PokerStars Pro Pierre Neuville rocket into the chip lead with close to a million chips.
The Belgian raised to 12,000 from first position and was called by Michael Tureniec on the button and Jacob Rasmussen in the small blind.
The flop fell and the action checked to Tureniec who bet 21,500. Rasmussen called but Neuville check-raised to 100,000. Tureniec called but the Dane folded to leave the other two heads up to the turn. Neuville led for 100,000 and called all-in when his Swedish opponent shoved.
Neuville opened for a turned two-pair. Tureniec was ahead until that juncture with , but now he was behind and stayed that way after the river.
If anyone needs a reminder that poker is a fickle game just go and ask Melanie Weisner. She has been our chip leader for most of the day but incredibly she is now out.
She opened with a raise to 10,000 and the action folded around to Stig Christensen in the big blind and he three-bet to 26,000. Back to Weisner and she moved all-in for 90,000 and Christensen called.
Christensen
Weisner
The board ran out and amazingly Weisner was eliminated.
A massive hand just went down that has seen Melanie Weisner left with just 90,000 chips.
Steve O'Dwyer opened to 11,000 from the button and Weisner three-bet to 28,000 from the big blind. The action was back on O'Dwyer and he attempted to click it back but did not put enough chips in to make the raise legal, but because he had put in at least half of a legal raise he was told to put another 7,000 chips in.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that," said O'Dwyer
"It's OK because I'm all-in," came the reply.
O'Dwyer instantly called and showed to Weisner's . The board ran out and whilst O'Dwyer was stacking his new 430,000 stack Weisner counted out her 90,000 chips.
It has been a bad level for Mikhail Petrov and he is now on the rail. He lost with versus and he committed the rest of his stack with and ran straight into Mads Wissing's .
It was all but over on the flop and 100% over on the turn and the meaningless on the river sent Petrov to the rail.
"All-in and call. All-in and call," could be heard shouted in a French accent from across the room. We dashed over to find Pierre Neuville the beneficiary of a double-up courtesy of Juha Lauttamus.
The Finn told us there had been action pre flop before Neuville led out from the small blind on the flop. Lauttamus shoved and the Team PokerStars Pro snap called with . Lauttamus tabled the drawing but failed to hit through the turn and river.
