Nicolas Levi is Eliminated!

Nicolas Levi
Nicolas Levi
Nicolas Levi raised from the small blind with {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and got one caller. He bet the {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and was called. The turn was the {K-Hearts} and Nicholas pushed all in, to be called by {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Yes, his opponent called a bet on the flop with king-high! No miracle seven on the river, and we have lost the white-hat-wearing Frenchman.

Rolf Slotboom Checks Dark!

Rolf Slotboom
Rolf Slotboom
Rolf Slotboom opened for a raise UTG to 825 and was called in two spots. He checked in the dark, and both players checked behind on a {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop. Rolf waited for the turn, {2-Hearts}, to be dealt before checking again. This time, the player to his immediate left bet 1,500 and the other player folded. Rolf casually lifted the box of tic tacs off his chip tower and flicked out a call. The river was the {K-Hearts}, and both players checked.

{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} for Rolf.
{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for his opponent.

Rolf won a 5,800-chip pot, to inrease his stack to 17,000.

Lacay Crippled

The action up to the river was unclear, but he made a move with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} on a {6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop and found three callers.

He was up against {A-Spades}{6-Spades}, {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Turn: {3-Hearts}
River: {2-Spades}

Lacay managed to survive by winning a small side pot, but is now down to just 3,800 in chips.

The Open-Push!

There seems to be a fondness for open pushing in this tournament, much more so than we normally see in an event of this buy-in.

I just witnessed an unknown open-push for 10,000 on a {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, the pot having 1,500 in it. It turns out the pusher had {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}, which pleased the caller who had {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. That is, until the river brought the {6-Diamonds} to eliminate the other player.

174 Players Remaining

The average stack is 13,850.

Andrej Nagy has regained the chip lead and is now on 48,000.

Italian Luigi Rizzi has moved up to 42,000.

On a {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board, his opponent moved in on the river for 5,000 with {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}, and Rizzi called with a rivered set of sixes.
