Pezzin Doubles

Team PokerStars Pro Pat Pezzin opened to 500 in early position. An opponent three-bet to 2,000 on the button and action folded to Pezzin. He four-bet to 5,500 prompting a call from his opponent, followed by a {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop.

Pezzin kept up the pressure with a a bet of 6,100. His opponent quickly shoved with the bigger stack and Pezzin called all in for 16,325 with {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}. His opponent tabled {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, finding no help from the {6-Hearts} turn and {5-Diamonds} river.

Moneymaker Doesn't

Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

2003 WSOP Main Event champ (and Team PokerStars Pro) Chris Moneymaker has just been sent to the exit. We missed his final hand, but the word on the street is that an opponent pushed with a flush draw, and it came through on the river to crack Moneymaker's pocket aces. Regardless of the method, the result is that Moneymaker is out of chips and out of the event.

Wheeler and Newman Can't Continue

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Jason Wheeler started things off with a raise to 525 from middle position. The player in the hijack seat called and then Anthony Newman reraised to 1,550 from the cutoff. His three-bet got one-upped by the player on the button, who four-bet to 4,200. Everyone folded and the button won the pot.
