Papola Beats Petronack and Eliminates Filippi and Jackson

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

When we got to the table, four players were on the flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Only two of them were active though, as Amnon Filippi and Corey Jackson were all in preflop. Jeff Papola checked the flop and Dennis Petronack checked behind.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Papola bet 7,000. Petronack called.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Papola bet 21,000. Petronack folded and Papola was first awarded the side pot with his {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a flush. He then scooped both the main pot and the other side pot as Filippi held the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Jackson {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

Papola moved to 265,000 in chips.

Aaron Overton opened to 5,100 from middle position and Vanessa Rousso called from the hijack.

When the river delivered the {J-Clubs}, Overton bet 22,400. Rousso called, but mucked when Overton tabled {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

Toddy Terry Two Times

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante
Todd Terry on Day 1
Todd Terry on Day 1

Someone in middle position opened the pot to 6,500 before Kevin Eyster three-bet to 14,800. Next door, Todd Terry looked down at {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} and moved all in for 46,000. That folded the initial raiser, but Eyster's {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} was good enough to call Terry down, flipping for his full stack.

The {6-Hearts} {K-Spades} {A-Hearts} flop was a fine sight for the at-risk Terry, and the turn {9-Clubs} and river {Q-Spades} secured his double up, pushing him up over 100,000 by just a tick.

Pesek Doubles Through Selbst

Vanessa Selbst opened to 4,200 from middle position and was called by the player in the hijack. Action folded to Michael Pesek in the big blind who moved all in for 10,900 more. Selbst put in an isolation raise, forcing the hijack to fold.

Selbst: {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}
Pesek: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

The board came down {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, no help to Selbst.

Jackson Doubles with Ladies

Ronnie Bardah raised from under the gun to 4,800. Jeff Papola flat-called from middle position before action folded all the way around to Corey Jackson in the big blind. He moved all in for 14,500. Bardah got out of the way and Papola called.

Papola held the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Jackson the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. The flop came down {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Papola took the lead with a pair of aces. The turn provided a miracle for Jackson when the {Q-Hearts} fell to give him the lead and the guaranteed winner. The {Q-Clubs} on the river provided and extra little bit of pizazz to the hand as Jackson made quads.
