Bardah Bests Papola

Ronnie Bardah
Ronnie Bardah

Ronnie Bardah raised from the hijack seat to 3,500. Jeff Papola called from the small blind and Dennis Petronack called from the big blind.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} and action checked around. The turn brought the {A-Clubs} and Papola led for 5,200. Petronack folded and Bardah called.

The river completed the board with the {10-Spades} and Papola bet again, this time making it 10,600. Bardah called quickly. Papola tabled the {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Bardah the {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Bardah's two pair was the winning hand and he scooped the pot.

The Ups and Downs of Victor Ramdin

With about 32,000 in the pot and the board reading {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Victor Ramdin was faced with a decision after his opponent in the hand moved all in for 31,800. After about two minutes Ramdin called, immediately hearing good news.

"Good call, I only have a seven," said his opponent. Ramdin tabled {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and upped his stacked to about 180,000.

The next hand, Ramdin opened from middle position and Derek Lerner went all in for 13,900 on the button. Action folded back to Ramdin and he admitted he hadn't looked at his cards, but called blind anyway. He showed {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and was well behind Lerner's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, failing to catch up when the board ran out {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Sica Gone

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ronnie Bardah opened with a raise to 3,200 and Jeff Papola three-bet to 8,000. Mike Sica moved all in for about 20,000 and Bardah folded. Papola made the call.

Papola: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Sica: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

Earlier, Sica's {A-}{K-} went down to Papola's {K-}{Q-} and this time Papola came from behind again. The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Papola finished off Sica to move to 194,000 in chips.

Cammarota All In and Sweating

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Alfonso Cammarota
Alfonso Cammarota

John D'Agostino and Alfonso Cammarota were mixed up in a big pot when we walked up to the table.

D'Agostino had bet 11,000 on a {5-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts} flop, and Cammarota shoved for 59,500. The call came quickly, and Cammarota's {J-Spades} {J-Hearts} was ahead. He had to sweat though, as D'Agostino tabled {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts} for the big draw.

The turn {8-Diamonds} was safe for Cammarota, and he faded another scary red card on the river. The {3-Diamonds} was safe too, though, and that's a big double for Cammarota. He's up to about 135,000 now, twice the chips of D'Agostino as the two men essentially trade stacks.

Bobby "The Bus" Ferdinand

Bobby Ferdinand raised to 4,000 and Adam Junglen reraised to 11,500. Action folded back to Ferdinand and he moved all in for 53,600. Junglen made the call.

Junglen: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Ferdinand: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} and Junglen's tens held to give him the pot, send Ferdinand to the rail and increase his stack to 208,000.

Mermelstein's Flush Falls

Aaron Mermelstein raised to 3,600 in middle position and was called by the player in the big blind.

The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and it was checked to Mermelstein. He bet 6,100, only to see his opponent shove for 38,000. A quick call from Mermelstein revealed {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flopped flush, now way ahead of his opponent's {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. The {10-Diamonds} turn kept Mermelstein ahead, but the {4-Clubs} fell on the river and made an ace-high flush for Mermelstein's opponent.

Cortellino and von Kriegenbergh Chop

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Leonard Cortellino raised from the cutoff seat to 4,000. Taylor von Kriegenbergh reraised to 12,500 from the small blind and Cortellino made the call.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and von Kriegenbergh bet 19,500. Cortellino raised all in for 88,600 and von Kriegenbergh called. Both players tabled {A-}{10-}, but Cortellino held the {10-Diamonds} and could back into a flush.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and gave Cortellino a flush draw, but the {J-Spades} on the river couldn't find the diamond he needed and the two players chopped up the pot.

Sayonara, Sabat

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Eddy Sabat
Eddy Sabat

With a raise to 4,000 in front of him, Eddy Sabat three-bet all in for about 30,000 with {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds}. His opponent made the call with {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}, and it was off to the races.

The flop came {10-} {8-} {3-} with two spades, keeping Sabat in front. The turn, however, put him in a big hole as the {K-Spades} left him one card from the exit. He was looking for a spade or a seven, but the {9-Clubs} river was the wrong rank and suit.

Sabat's day is done.
