Binger Pulls Out Unlikely Win

Nick Binger
Nick Binger

In a battle of the blinds, Nick Binger and his opponent were involved in quite the raising war. Binger was in the small blind and raised, only to see his opponent three-bet to 7,200. Binger came over the top with a four-bet, before his opponent five-bet shoved with the bigger stack. Binger called all in for 57,000 total with {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, only to see his opponent table {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

A chop was likely, but not the case this time as the board ran out {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Spades} to give Binger the ace-high flush to win the pot.

Boom Goes Papola

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Dennis Petronack raised from under the gun to 2,600. Mike "Little Man" Sica called from the next seat, Corey Jackson called from the hijack seat, Steve Happas called from the small blind and then Jeff Papola reraised to 12,000 from the big blind. Petronack folded and Sica called. Jackson and Happas folded after that, leaving heads-up action to the flop.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Papola bet 16,000. Sica put in a raise to 50,000 and Papola moved all in for 72,000. Sica quickly called with the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Papola held the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and had out-flopped Little Man.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and the river the {4-Spades}. Sica lost the hand and was knocked to about 25,000 in chips. Papola increased to over 150,000 in chips.

Glantz Misclicks

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Matt Glantz
Matt Glantz

After the cutoff seat raised to 2,200, Jason Mercier reraised to 4,800 from the button. Matt Glantz tossed in 2,200 from the big blind, thinking Mercier had just called. He claimed that he mistook the T1,000 chips that Mercier tossed in as T500 chips. Glantz then contemplated to call the extra 2,600 or not. Eventually he folded. The cutoff also folded and Mercier picked up the pot.

Dan O'Brien
Dan O'Brien

From middle position, Jeff Madsen raised to 2,300. The next player moved all in for 15,000 even and then Dan O'Brien made it 30,000 to go from the cutoff. Everyone folded to leave O'Brien and his {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} against the all-in player's {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and O'Brien won the pot. He's up to 57,000 in chips now.

Robinson Motions and Mercier Mucks

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Matt Glantz raised to 2,400 from early position and David Robinson called from the next seat. Action then folded to Russell Crane on the button and he called. Jason Mercier also called out of the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and action checked over to Robinson. He bet 5,500 and Crane folded. Mercier paused for a moment and then made the call before Glantz dropped out as well.

The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} and Mercier checked. Robinson also checked to see the {2-Clubs} come on the river and complete the board. After Mercier checked, Robinson motioned towards his chips and Mercier gave it up. Robinson slid out the 11,500 that he was going to bet, but saw that Mercier had already mucked his hand and quickly pulled it back before collecting the pot.

Mercier dropped back to 32,000 while Robinson increased to 99,000.
