Niall Farrell Jams the River

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Upon passing Vojtech Ruzicka's table, he had raised under the gun and Niall Farrell three-bet to 5,900 on the button. Ruzicka put in a four-bet to 17,300 and Farrell called.

The flop came {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Ruzicka led out for 16,500. Farrell called.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and both players checked to the river, which was the {q-Spades}. Ruzicka checked again, and Farrell went into the tank for three minutes before moving all in for 64,900. Ruzicka took a look at his cards one last time before sending them into the muck.

Two Pair for Cate Hall

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante
Caitlin Hall

A big pot was brewing between Jason Koon and Cate Hall, with Hall in the big blind, checking her option to Koon in the cutoff.

The board read {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Koon bet 10,600. Hall thought for a minute and eventually called.

The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Hall quickly checked. Koon went into the tank and announced a bet of 18,000. Hall didn't think for too long before deciding to call.

"Ace-king", said Koon, tabling {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Hall showed {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for two pair and scooped the pot.

More Familiar Faces

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

As expected, more familiar faces keep rolling in as the day carries on.

Maria Ho, Xuan Liu, Marc-Andre Ladouceur and Ryan Yu are all familiar with the high roller scene and have just taken their seats today. The tables are filling up, and there don't appear to be any easy spots in the field thus far.

Ari Engel Eliminated

Level 2 : 300/600, 50 ante

Upon looking around the room, Ari Engel is the next player to be eliminated in the second level of the day.

In the first level, Engel raised Francois Billard in a four-bet pot but decided to leave himself with ten big blinds and find a better spot. Eventually, he was eliminated.

Registration is still open until the end of the first level of the day tomorrow, so stick with PokerNews to see if Canada's leading GPI player re-enters.
