Producing Tracks and Stacking Chips: Irv Gotti Beats Dario Minieri in a Pot

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Irving Lorenzo, better known as Irv Gotti, is a music producer and founder of The Inc. record label, formerly Murder, Inc. He has produced songs for artists such as Jay-Z, Ja Rule, DMX, Ashanti, and Vanessa Carlton.

Lorenzo has advanced to Day 2 here in the 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event and just scooped a small pot off Team PokerStars Pro Dario Minieri to move over 40,000 in chips.

On the hand, Minieri check-called a flop bet of 2,200 from Lorenzo with the board reading {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The turn was the {3-Clubs}, and both players checked. Both also checked the {Q-Spades} that landed on the river. Lorenzo tabled the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and sixes, and he won the pot.

Lorenzo boasts four career tournament cashes for a total of $32,471 in earnings. He's an avid player of the big poker events in Atlantic City, mainly at Borgata, but also has one World Series of Poker cash from last summer. He finished in the money in the $1,500 "Millionaire Maker" event for $4,624. Lorenzo's biggest individual score came in 2012 when he took 51st in the World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open for $10,905.

Musumeci Jams On Ho

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Amanda Musumeci (Day 1b)
Amanda Musumeci (Day 1b)

Switzerland's Morgan Frederick Crosta started the action with a raise to 1,800 from middle position. Maria Ho made the call in the cutoff position, and then play fell on Amanda Musumeci on the button. She three-bet to 5,500. The blinds folded, then Crosta tanked for a little and made the call. Ho had other things in mind, and after a minute she four-bet to 16,200. Musumeci was then back up, and she tanked long and hard before firing all of her chips into the middle.

Musumeci had between 55,000 and 60,000 in her total stack when she shoved, and Crosta opted to fold. Ho had about 55,000 behind, and began to tank. About two minutes passed while Ho mulled over her decision. Eventually, she folded, and Musumeci won the pot.

Kiletto Rakes Massive Pot, Vaults into Chip Lead

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Lily Kiletto opened with an early position raise and it folded around to Mustapha Kanit who put in a three-bet. Kiletto four-bet the action to 13,000 and Kanit came right back over the top with a five-bet to 29,000.

Kiletto thought for a moment before dropping out a call. The dealer placed a {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop on the felt and Kiletto announced a check. Kanit continued out for 27,000 and Kiletto came over the top with an all in bet. Kanit called for his tournament life of about 65,000 and the hands were turned over.

Kiletto: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Kanit: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Kiletto's jacks were in the lead and Kanit was looking to pair up on the subsequent streets to take the lead. The {2-Spades} on fourth street did nothing to improve Kanit's hand and he made quick leave from the area after seeing the {Q-Clubs} complete the board.

Kiletto raked in the massive pot and now is sitting on a castle of about 235,000 in chips which is good for the current chip lead.

Jones Knocked Back

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Aaron Jones jammed all in on the {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} board, and his opponent tank-called for his tournament life. Jones had the {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and his opponent the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. The river was the {8-Clubs}, and that meant Jones lost the hand. He sent over the 34,400 in chips he owed to his opponent and was left with about 12,000.

Eugene Katchalov (Day 1)

We unfortunately missed the action, but Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov just eliminated Dominik Nitsche and Philipp Gruissem on the same hand. Katchalov held {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} against Nitsche's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Gruissem's {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and the bullets held up.

Katchalov now sits with around 130,000 chips.

Rough Start For O'Brien

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

"I'm feeling good, but it's not been a good day so far," Dan O'Brien just said as he dropped quite a few chips in the first level of the day.

A few minutes later we noticed O'Brien involved in a three-way pot when the board showed {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The player in the small blind checked after which Jaime Eli Kaplan bet 3,000 from the big blind.

O'Brien tanked for a bit and called from the cutoff and the small blind quickly folded.

On the turn the {2-Clubs} hit and Kaplan bet another 6,200, O'Brien called once more.

The river completed the board with the {9-Diamonds} and Kaplan threw out another 13,700. O'Brien let go of his hand again and dropped down to below the starting stack.
