Khalil raised to 1,525 from middle position before Andrew Lehne moved all in from the big blind for an additional 13,300. Khalil thought for a moment and decided on a call tabling a less than spectacular to be dominated by the of Lehne.
"I'm such a donk!" exclaimed Khalil, "A six is coming though".
Wouldn't you know it, the board landed to give Khalil the only pair and the hand to send Lehne to the rail. Khalil is now up to 77,000 chips.
David Munday opened the action with a raise to 1,600 from early position and found callers in Nali Kaselias and Sam Sayed, before Emad Moaref decided it was a good spot to squeeze and shipped his last 5,075 into the pot. His raise didn't deter anyone as all three opponents made the call.
All three players checked through to the river on a board of . Kaselias put out a bet of 1,000, with Sayed folding and Munday making the call.
Kaselias showed for top pair, Munday mucked but Moaref tabled for the nut straight to quadruple up! He now sits with 22,000 chips!
On a flop of Van Marcus led out at the pot with a bet of 2,200. He was met with resistance from Robert Wang who bumped it up to 4,800. Marcus thought for a few moments before pulling the trigger and shoving all in for an additional 11,950.
Wang went into the tank but eventually gave it up as Marcus flashed for just ace-high!
Perhaps this will be the kick-start for "Sirens" as he is now up to 21,500.
We join a heads up hand between Matthew Brinckley and Ian Burchell on a flop showing . Brinckley has the lead, and he puts out 2,000 chips. Burchell then moves all in over the top, prompting Brinckley to put his last 17,125 chips into the pot, calling the raise to put himself all in.
The cards are turned over, and Brinckley shows down . Burchell is well behind, but his has plenty of outs.
The turn is the , and the river is another blank, the . Burchell can't hit either of his draws, and he sends a big chunk of change over to his opponent. Matthew Brinckley earns the double up, and he now sits with just over 35,000.
Tim "Luckyshades" Horan was first crippled in a hand with Jamie Beer. The chips went in on a flop of flop with Horan in the lead with his for two pair but Beer held outs with .
One of those outs was the which hit on the turn to complete his straight. The river didn't repeat for Horan as the fell, leaving him with less than 5,000 chips.
A few moments later Horan put what he had left in preflop with against both Ali Abou-eid and a short-stacked Garry Chappell .
Horan was looking good for a near-triple up when the board fell however the peeled off on the river and Abou-eid scooped the pot to eliminate both opponents.
From middle position, Joshua Jurcic opened with a raise, and Anthony Driscoll made the call on the button, as did the player in the big blind. The flop rolled out . The big blind checked to the raiser, and Jurcic continued out with 2,600 chips. Driscoll came back with a raise to 6,400, isolating him against Jurcic who put in the call.
