Chin up, Saaby!
Chin up, Saaby!
Action folded around to Nali Kaselias in the small blind who moved all in and had David Saab (big blind) covered. Saab made the call tabling {A-Spades} {8-Clubs} and found himself slightly ahead of Kaselias' {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}.

The board filled out {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} in favor of Kaselias whose two pair best Saab's aces for the win.

After the hand, Kaselias stacked up ~910,000 in chips. Saab earned $9,020 in prize money for his 11th place finish.

Gorr Doubles Through Sukkar; Commandeers Chip Lead

David Gorr - Your new chip leader
David Gorr - Your new chip leader
David Gorr has just won the biggest pot of the tournament thus far, having doubled through former chip leader Ray Sukkar.

Gorr opened the hand with a raise to 70,000 from late position. Sukkar made the call from the big blind.

The flop came {4-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} and both players checked, opting to see a free turn: {6-Hearts}. Sukkar slid a single stack of yellow 5,000 chips into the middle -- a bet worth 100,000 -- and Gorr responded by moving all in (767,000).

Sukkar tanked for quite some time, all the while standing behind his chips and examining his stack. Eventually Sukkar made the call and tabled a pocket pair of nines; Gorr revealed {8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} for a set and was miles ahead.

Despite a few cries from the rail for a nine, the river delivered the {K-Spades} and Gorr successfully doubled through to 1,690,000 in chips. Sukkar was left with 1,170,000 -- a stack formidable enough that any of the 11 remaining players would be happy to own.

Kaselias Doubles As Levy Continues To Slide

Nali Kaselias open shoved from under the gun for 258,000 preflop and Grant Levy made the call.

Levy tabled {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} but wasn't too thrilled to see Kaselias open the big guns - {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}!

Needing something special to eliminate his opponent, Levy watched as the board came down {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} doubling Kaselias up to 550,000. Levy has taken another hit, the fourth time in a row he has doubled up an opponent, and now finds himself with only 590,000.

Saab v. Levy III

David Saab
David Saab
David Saab has just managed another double up, courtesy of Grant Levy, who's quickly falling from grace.

Saab open-shoved all in from the cutoff for his last 150,000 and Levy made the call from the button.

Showdown:
Saab: {5-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}
Levy: {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

Spectators watching the hand play out chattered amongst themselves, many figuring this would be Saab's last hand of the tournament, but the board ran out {K-Clubs} {2-Spades} {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} giving Saab trip fives for the win.

After the hand, Saab improved to 320,000 while Levy slid further down the ladder with 760,000.

Damm Doubles Through Levy

Nali Kaselias opened the pot with a raise to 60,000 from the cutoff and Grant Levy called in the small blind. Kenneth Damm then attempted to take down the pot on the spot with a 183,000 all-in bet, but received one caller in Levy.

Showdown:
Levy: {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}
Damm: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

The board filled out {2-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} in favor of Damm, who's pair of kings were good enough to take down the pot and 420,000 in new chips. Levy dropped to 876,000 in the loss.

"David Saab walks on water!"

...so said Tony Hachem after David Saab doubled up through Grant Levy, moments after losing most of his stack to Levy not a minute earlier.

Saab shoved from the small blind with {7-Hearts} {7-Spades} and Levy looked him up in the big, tabling {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}.

The board filled out {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts} and Saab took down the hand with a heart flush, doubling through to 130,000 in chips.
