A New Day and a Second Chance

Welcome back to the Crown Poker Room for our continued coverage of the 2009 PokerNews Cup Main Event. Yesterday saw 171 players hit the felt with 49 surviving to reach Day 2 play on Sunday.

Not all hope is lost however for those eliminated from the battle yesterday, as today's flight doubles as a repechage or "second chance", allowing players to rebuy into today if they so choose.

We anticipate this will boost the overall number and prize pool, to provide an exciting day of poker ahead of us.

All the action kicks off at 12:10pm local time, which is a little over an hour from now. Stick with PokerNews.com for all your live updates!
