White Doubles Through Nguyen

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Mike Takayama raised to 46,000 and Corbin White moved all in. Duc Nguyen reshoved all in from the small blind and Takayama folded.

Corbin White: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Duc Nguyen: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop vaulted Nguyen in the lead, but the {2-Diamonds} turn secured the double for White. A meaningless {10-Clubs} river completed the board and White doubled for 291,000.

Peters Folds Out Nguyen

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We picked up the action on the flop in a big pot between Andre Peters and Hoa Thinh Nguyen with over 550,000 in the pot and the board reading {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} just as Peters checked the action over to Nguyen.

The Vietnamese player fired out a bet of 125,000 and Peters made the call to keep both players in action and the {4-Diamonds} hit the turn, bringing checks from each.

The {9-Hearts} river completed a possible heart flush and Peters fired for 280,000.

“Flush?” asked Nguyen, but Peters remained silent and the Vietnamese player mucked to drop down to 1.14 million and Peters climbed to 1.6 million.

White Comes Back from the Dead

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Hoa Thinh Nguyen raised to 50,000 from the button and Michael Falcon in the small blind three-bet to 125,000. Nguyen four-bet to 400,000 and Falcon quickly folded.

Then, over on table one, Mike Takayama pushed from the small blind and Corbin White called for his last 146,000 in the big blind.

Corbin White: {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Mike Takayama: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop left White with barely any hope, but the American picked up some outs with the {J-Hearts} turn. A miracle {10-Diamonds} river gave White a straight and he scored an unexpected double.

Jongyoung Moon
Jongyoung Moon

A short-stacked Jongyoung Moon moved all in for what appeared to be 300,000 and the action folded to Michael Falcon in the big blind, who quickly called.

Jongyoung Moon: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Michael Falcon: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop failed to improve Moon, and the {2-Hearts} turn took away one of his outs. It was all over for the Korean on the {K-Hearts} river and he bowed out in 22nd place.

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Antti Halme got through with a shove to claim a pot uncontested and Shinji Katsushima did so after Mark Amparo raised to 50,000 and Uday Bansal called. Katshushima shoved for 263,000 over the top from the big blind and both players folded.

Then, Chi Thinh Nguyen opened to 50,000 and Yo Seb Rhee defended the big blind. The flop fell {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Rhee check-called a bet worth 80,000. Both then checked the {4-Spades} turn and {8-Spades} river, and Rhee announced a ten to win the pot with {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Andre Peters opened the action with a raise 45,000 from under-the-gun and action folded around to Sam Razavi on the button who re-raised to 112,000 and the action was on Jongyoung Moon in the small blind.

Moon tanked for several minutes before moving all-in for 169,000 in total. Peters quickly folded and Razavi made a quick call.

Jongyoung Moon: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}
Sam Razavi: {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Moon was ahead and the {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} kept him in the lead. The {3-Spades} turn changed nothing and the {2-Hearts} river saw Moon double to 350,000 while Razavi dropped to 660,000.
