If you're looking for action, you came to the right place.

The 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam poker tournament series continues today with its $200 No-Limit Hold'em multiple-flight reentry event.

The first of four starting flights begins at 10 a.m. local time inside the Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. The second one is set for 6 p.m. and there are two more tomorrow. Each flight allows for registration and unlimited reentry through the first eight levels, which means players will be firing away early and often.

The goal: Make it through 14 levels of play or until just 12 percent of the field remains. The prize: A seat in Day 2 Sunday where the big money and Seneca Poker glory awaits.

Survivors will take whatever chips they manage to collect with them. However, should they decide they want more, they can still reenter future flights and will carry the best stack forward.

Players will start with 15,000 in tournament chips and the levels are 20 minutes each. Another Day 2 perk is the jump to 40 minute levels, giving the players a little more wiggle room.

Events like this create big prize pools at small price points and the 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam version carries with it a $50,000 guarantee. They can also create crowds, so that guarantee should be easily met as players fire away for a chance at a decent payday for a couple of hundred bucks.

Michael DiCamillo
Michael DiCamillo

Mike DiCamillio is giving standout Seneca dealer Laura McGuire all the credit for a hot start.

He's got about twice what he began the day with after she dealt him some big hands throughout her last down. The biggest of which saw him crack aces flopping top pair and a flush draw, then turning a king-high flush.

The early double sees DiCamillio snatch the chip lead heading into the first 10-minute break of the day.

Jeff Roth
Jeff Roth

Two hands in a row on Table 7 saw a player run queens into aces.

Like Eddy Williams, it was one 'classic showdown' after another.

Aces held both times, but it worked out a little better for Jeff Roth than Patty Fitzgerald.

Roth's aces got him a double up to 30,000. Fitzgerald's only netted her enough to get back to even.
