SPT Main Event
Day 3 Started
The final day has come here in South Africa and the 2024 SunBet Poker Tour Time Square Main Event will conclude today with the biggest slice of the ZAR5,266,800 ($281,989) prize pool up for grabs at the Time Square Casino in Pretoria.
The newest live poker series in partnership between the Monster Jam Poker Tour (MJPT) and Sun International Group drew a field of 418 entries for the Main Event, which features a buy-in of ZAR15,000 (~$790). Mostly filled with local players, it comes as no surprise that eleven of the 12 finalists represent the host country when a winner is crowned as of 11 a.m. local time today.
Cash game player Keegan Pillay skyrocketed to the top of the leaderboard in the final level last night and returns with 2,790,000, followed by Roy Bitton (2,650,000) and David Ng from Mauritius (2,045,000).
Second on South Africa's all-time money list Jarred Solomon sits in sixth place on the leaderboard with 1,690,000 in chips and is likely the most experience finalist. Other notables still in contention include Danny Dayani, Sugen Singh, Gavin Sardini and Edgar Antezana.
