Jamie Gold Talks a Pot Away From Hoyt Corkins

With the board showing {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} on the river, Jamie Gold bet 20,000 from the small blind position, and Hoyt Corkins thought for a bit before asking Gold for a chip count. Gold moved his chips into clear view and said, "You're gonna move all-in? I must be in more trouble than I thought." As Corkins continued thinking, Gold added, "I don't have a nine." (Which would give him a nine-high straight.)

Corkins eventually folded, and Gold asked "could you beat a seven?" as he showed the {7-Clubs}. The dealer flipped over Gold's other card, which was the {Q-Clubs}, meaning he really had nothing more than the pair of sevens.

Tuan Le versus Jamie Gold

Jamie Gold made a great bluff of Tuan Le about two hours ago. When the table reacted, players at other tables came over to take a look and Phil Hellmuth, playing at the next table, offered Jamie $500 if he bluffed Tuan again.

Later, Jamie made a big bet into Tuan and called Phil over. Tuan eventually folded and Jamie showed the bluff and Phil paid off.

Later, same situation, Tuan folded and Jamie showed the bluff. Phil paid.

Later, same situation, Tuan folded and Jamie showed the nuts. No bluff no pay.

Later, Tuan and Jamie are locked up in yet another hand and Jamie puts Tuan all-in on the turn; Jamie shows the straight and the flush draw but Tuan shows top pair and a bigger flush draw. The straight does not hit and Tuan has a big double up.

Phil Hellmuth has Chirping Chips

Phil Hellmuth gets his opponent to move in on a flop of {J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Hellmuth calls in a flash with {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, and his opponent is out when the turn brings the {8-Diamonds}. His opponent is out of his seat, and Phil is chatting away, talking about how he has been setting that move up for a while. Hellmuth has about 90,000 chips in front of him in a pile, as he is too busy chatting to stack them.

Josh Arieh on a Roll

Josh Arieh has hit two big hands in the last 10 minutes, the last being a pot of almost 60,000 chips. On a board of {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Josh's opponent (who had lost a 100,000 chip pot to Keith Gipson about three hands prior) bets out 12,000. Josh makes it 30,000, and his opponent, after some careful consideration makes the call. Josh flips over {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} for the rivered full house, and Josh's opponent quietly mucks her cards. Arieh is up to over 90,000 in chips.
