Joe Sebok just caught some bad luck that wasn't entirely due to the cards. The last player to act after the flop made a confusing action, which the dealer interpreted as a check. As the dealer put out the turn card, the player protested, saying he was going to bet. A floorperson was called over, and it was decided to burn that card and deal a fresh turn card after the player acted.
Unfortunately for Mr. Sebok, the new turn card gave Victor Ramdin trips, and with betting the rest of the way, Sebok ended up losing a large pot, dropping down to 41,000. Ramdin has about 53,000.
Jamie Gold and Phil Hellmuth have just shaken hands on this prop bet: Phil owes Jamie $5K if Jamie makes it to the end of today's play. Jamie owes Phil $15K if Jamie busts out today.
After making the bet Hellmuth tossed Gold a $5K chip.
On a board of , Weinraub bet 5K and Gold re-raised to 12K. He was trying to get Adam Weinraub to call his bet.
"I could be lying," Gold said as he stood up. "I'm not going to tell you if I'm bluffing."
Weinraub moved all-in and Gold quickly called as he shouted, "Yes!"
He flipped over for the nuts as Weinraub showed for a set. That hand put Gold up to 100K. WPT Invitational winner Adam Weinraub headed to the rail. Weinraub had promised 20% of his winnings to charity.
The board is ; the betting has been small but now the other player (Miami John Cernuto) bets 6K into a 6K pot. The was the turn card.
You (David Williams) have a short chat with no one in particular and make the call. The river is and Miami John pushes for his remaining 20,700, you have a Queen and a big kicker. What do you do?
