Carlton Hits 120K

A short-stacked player in middle position moved all in for 8,200 and Everrett Carlton made the call from the small blind.

Showdown

Carlton{A-Spades}{10-Clubs}
MP{A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Carlton was in the lead and even more so after the {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. Neither the {K-Diamonds} turn nor {9-Diamonds} river changed a thing and Carlton dispatched his foe while chipping up to 120K.

Harris & Lawrence Out; Kuether Cruising

Since returning from the break, both Paul Harris and Matt Lawrence have been eliminated from the tournament. Unfortunately we don't have details, but Harris did Tweet:

"Couldn't get anything going, finally made a move that mis-fired at the end of level 12 and I'm out."

Meanwhile, Joe Kuether has been chipping up nicely, now sitting with 190K.

Nelly Busted

We're not sure how it happened, but as we were writing up some hands, Nelly quickly passed by our desk. A quick check of his former seat confirms that he has been eliminated from the tournament.

Massey Runs Into Kings

Aaron Massey
Aaron Massey

Action folded around to an unknown player on the button and he opened the pot, which was quickly met with an all-in three-bet by Aaron Massey from the small blind for around 34,000. The big blind got out of the way and the button snapped.

Showdown
Massey | {A-}{9-}
Button | {K-}{K-}

It was a bad spot for Massey, who was in desperate need of an ace. Unfortunately for him, it was not meant to be as the board ran out an uneventful {J-}{7-}{7-}{4-}{6-}.

Magnus Moving Up

Nadya Magnus has chipped up considerably since late last night.
Nadya Magnus has chipped up considerably since late last night.

An unknown player opened for 3,200 on the button and Nadya Magnus called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn produced the {5-Diamonds} and Magnus led out for 3,500. Her opponent called and the {K-Hearts} came on the river. Magnus led again, this time to the tune of 5,500. Her opponent held his cards for a second and then kicked them back to the dealer.

Rincon Champ in the House

We're not sure how we missed him for so long, but we just discovered WSOP Circuit Harrah's Rincon Main Event champ Joe Kuether in the house. The Wisconsin native won that event, which drew 332 players, late last month for $111,104.

PokerNews actually did an interview with Kuether after that win and got to know the 24-year old pro. You can check out that interview in full by clicking here.

Kuether is currently sitting with a healthy stack of 150,000.
