The final tally for today was a whopping 721 players, which crushed the total from last year. 81 players will walk away with a fatter wallet, and the first payout will be $2,695. However, the number that everyone wants to know is $216,275. That's what the winner will walk away with. We will post the full list of payouts in moments.
We didn't catch the hand as it happened, but David Randall raked in a big pot to get him up to 75,000. He came over and gave us some brief details. Action started with Shawn Daniels raising in early position. Randall flatted in position, as well as Bobby Suer in the big blind. The flop came , and it was checked around. The turn brought a , and Randall fired out 8,200. Suer called and the river was a .
This time, Randall bet out 18,400, and Suer went deep into the tank. Eventually, he made the call with for two pair, but it was no good, as Randall held for top set.
James Woods was one of the big stories coming into today, as he bagged up over 100,000 chips. Well he's picking up right where he left off, as he just busted WSOP bracelet winner David Singontiko.
Singontiko raised it up to 2,500 in late position, and Woods made it 10,000 in the big blind. Singontiko shoved, and Woods snap called, having Singontiko covered.

As soon as Woods called, Singontiko knew he was in trouble, as he let out a big sigh and looked up at the ceiling. Short of flopping a ten, it was a dream flop for Singontiko, coming . Singontiko could now catch a queen or a seven to win, in addition to a ten, but the board completed and .
Singontiko headed to the exits, while Woods jumped up to 140,000.
Jay Newnum, or "WhoJedi" as he is known on twitter and in the poker media world, is holding his own on the felt here at the Bike. Newmun bagged 48,000 last night, and he has already worked that up to 80,000 today. Newmun has done this despite what could be some of the toughest seating assignments in the tournament.
Yesterday, Newnum was rubbing shoulders with the likes of Ben Yu and AJ Jejelowo. Yu busted halfway through the day, but he was replaced by another well known pro, Joe Tehan. Newnum persevered to make it to Day 2, where he was given a warm welcome by WPT Champion Nam Le, who is on his immediate left today. Despite these bad draws, Newnum is still above the average stack, and looking for a deep run.
Last year, Freddy Deeb registered on Day 2, and everytime we walked by, he had more chips then the time before. Well he was on pace to repeat that this time around with an early double up, but we just caught Deeb giving some back to the table.
The player under the gun raised to 3,000, and he got three callers, including Deeb in the big blind. Everyone checked when the dealer fanned out a flop, and the turn brought the . Deeb sprung into action with a 9,000 bet, and the under the gun player called, as did the button.
The river came the , and all three players checked. The button tabled , and that was good enough to beat both players. After that hand, Deeb dipped down to 36,000, which is still almost double what he started with.
No more then four seconds after we posted that Deeb had yet to arrive, we looked up and saw him standing in the middle of the room. The champion...is here. Oh and by the way, he has already doubled up to 40,000.
Freddy Deeb planned to come in today and enter before the day started, but we have yet to see him in the room. There are a couple dead stacks out there, so we are assuming that he has one of those. Once we spot the man, we will let you know.
