Silberstein Doubles Again The Very Next Hand

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Wow. Ken Silberstein has doubled up two straight hands in a row.

Fresh off of his double from Jonas Wexler, Silberstein three-bet out of the small blind after Leonardo Palmero opened with a raise. Palmero four-bet to an unknown amount and Silberstein came right back over the top all in for 1.189 million. Palmero called.

Palermo: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Silberstein: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

The table was astounded at Silberstein's aces followed immediately after his kings. Players stood up and walked around and the crowd went nuts.

"I'm going to use my one time RIGHT now," exclaimed Silberstein.

The dealer fanned {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{J-Hearts} on the felt and Silberstein retained his lead. Palermo picked up and open-ended straight draw on the turn when the {10-Spades} hit, but could not hit any of his outs as the {4-Hearts} finished off the board.

In just two hands last year's runner-up has become our new chip leader with about 2.4 million. Palermo, on the other hand, has been crippled.

Three Hands in a Row with Big Pocket Pairs; Palermo Doubles Back

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

As if the madness of the past two hands wasn't enough, more huge pocket pairs were present in this hand. Andrew Rudnik opened with a preflop raise and Leonardo Palermo moved all in. Rudnik called to find that he was behind.

Rudnik: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Palermo: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

A run out of {J-Spades}{K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} secured a double for the recently crippled Palermo. Rudnik has fallen to 285,000 in chips.

Jonas Wexler Eliminated in 8th Place ($14,258)

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The recently crippled Jonas Wexler moved his last 58,000 in before the flop. Fittingly enough, it was Ken Silberstein who put the nail in the coffin.

Wexler had a bit of hope as his {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} was racing against Silberstein's {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. However, the board of {J-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} sealed Wexler's fate as our eighth place finisher. He will collect $14,258 in prize money.

Clinkscales Cracks Kings to Double Huge

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The big hands aren't stopping here at the Harrah's Philadelphia Main Event final table.

After a series of raises, Rex Clinkscales was all in before the flop holding {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Unfortunately for the circuit grinder, Ken Silberstein had once again picked up a big hand with {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

"Now I'm using MY one time," said Clinkscales in reply to Silberstein's earlier statement.

This sentiment seemed to work, as the {Q-Spades} was in the window to give Clinkscales a set of queens. The {5-Hearts} and {2-Clubs} followed as the rest of the flop. Fourth and fifth street brought the {7-Spades} and {5-Clubs} and suddenly Clinkscales was scooping up a huge pot. He's now sitting on about 1.18 million.

Rudnik Doubles Through Natale

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Tony Natale opened with a button raise to 65,000 only to have Andrew Rudnik three-bet all in for 255,000 from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Natale announced a call.

Natale: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Rudnik: {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The two were racing for Rudnik's tournament life heading to the flop. The dealer spread out {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} giving Rudnik a couple of additional outs to make a straight. They weren't needed though, as he paired up when the {10-Clubs} hit the turn. Natale was now open-ended but it didn't come through as the {A-Spades} finished off the board.

Rudnik scooped up the double to around 540,000 while Natale has fallen to about 290,000.

Tony Natale Eliminated in 7th Place ($18,112)

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Tony Natale decided to run the gauntlet and ship all in from under the gun. Andrew Rudnik shipped all in over the top from the next seat over and the rest of the table threw away their cards.

Natale: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Rudnik: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Natale's fate was just about sealed when Rudnik flopped a set on the {4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop. The {10-Spades} on the turn made it official and the meaningless {Q-Hearts} finished off the board. Rudnik scooped up the pot and is now at 830,000 in chips.

Leonardo Palermo Eliminated in 6th Place ($23,340)

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The next hand after Tony Natale fell, we saw Leonardo Palermo move all in for his last 360,000 before the flop. It folded around to Natale's executioner, Andrew Rudnik, in the big blind. He called once again and was looking to eliminate another player.

Rudnik showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and was racing against Palermo's {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Rudnik paired on the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} flop and never looked back as the {4-Clubs} turned and the {10-Clubs} rivered. Palermo was eliminated in sixth place and will take home $23,340 in tournament winnings.

Jukich Doubles Through Assante

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Andrew Rudnik opened with a raise that was immediately three-bet to 120,000 by Michael Assante from the button. Mike Jukich announced an all in from the small blind and it folded back to Assante who tanked for quite some time before calling 761,000 total.

Assante: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}
Jukich: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board came down {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Jukich's hand was able to hold up as the best. He doubled to about 1.54 million while Assante is down to around 670,000.
