Kessler Sends One Home

Level 13 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

We caught up to the table to see the aftermath of a hand where Allen Kessler eliminated a player from the tournament.

According to Kessler, the short stack player said he would ship all in when it came around to him and he did. Kessler picked up {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and shipped all in over the top for about 21,000. The rest of the table folded and Kessler's hand conquered over his opponent's {k-}{8-}. The Chainsaw is now sitting on about 33,000.

Rice Triples, Carlton Survives, and Clinkscales Pays

Level 13 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Rex Clinkscales opened with a raise to 3,100 from early position. It folded around to Everett Carlton who called from the cutoff. Sean Rice moved all in for 10,400 total from the button and action came back around to Clinkscales. He inquired how much Carlton had behind then announced that he was all in over the top.

Carlton mulled back and forth for a moment before announcing a call.

Rice: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Carlton: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Clinkscales: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}

Rice jumped way out into the lead when the {Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} flop fell and gave him trip queens. The {7-Clubs} turned and the {8-Spades} rivered, ensuring that he would triple up. Carlton scooped up the side pot with his jacks besting Clinkscales' ace-high.

Rice is now sitting on about 35,000 while this hand actually saw profit for Carlton who has about 60,000 in chips. Clinkscales has fallen to around 90,000.

Hearts For Overton

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We caught up to find Aaron Overton and an opponent looking down at a completed board of {A-Hearts}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. With well over 26,000 already in the middle, Overton cut out a bet of 8,700. His opponent went into the tank for about ninety seconds before flinging out a call.

Overton showed {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the highest possible flush. His opponent mucked and Overton dragged in the pot. He's now sitting at about 105,000.

Jukich Jumps Into Overwhelming Chiplead

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We missed the action but came onto the tournament floor to see Mike Jukich sitting on a mountain of chips. His stack of 305,000 came to him during a large confrontation just moments before our arrival. Tournament floor staff recapped the hand to us and told us how Jukich held {A-}{Q-} against an opponent's {Q-}{10-} and another opponent's {J-}{j-}.

An ace fell on the turn and gave the massive pot to Jukich.

Overton Drags Massive Pot

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We caught the end of a hand that saw Aaron Overton fly to over 280,000 in chips.

Overton's tablemate, Allen Kessler, was kind enough to recap the action for us. Overton opened with a raise before the flop and the player on the button three-bet. Overton flat called and the flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

Overton continued out and the button raised him all in. Overton snapped him off and showed {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a set of tens. His opponent was in bad shape with {K-}{k-}. THe turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {Q-Diamonds}, giving Overton a full house and the best hand.

With over 50,000 already in the middle, Overton's all in was for 98,400. He's now sitting on a massive stack of about 280,000.
