Interesting Table Draw

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

With only 81 remaining players, last year's champion Christopher Bonn and last year's runner-up, Ken Silberstein, have draw the same table.

For a refresher, these two players battled heads up for over an hour close to one year ago for the 2012 WSOP Circuit title. In the end, Bonn came out on top but they're both back at it and poised to make a deep run once again this year. We'll keep you updated on any fireworks that possibly occur between the two.

Start-of-Day Chip Leader Thrives

Level 16 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We caught up to find start-of-day chip leader Rachel Kranz heads up in a pot with last year's runner-up Ken Silberstein. The flop read {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Silberstein checked. Kranz fired 7,500 and Silberstein stuck around.

Fourth street was the {3-Hearts} and Silberstein checked a second time. Kranz moved 16,000 into the center and Silberstein took some time before finally mucking his hand. Kranz was pushed the pot and is now sitting on 149,000.

No Repeat Champion

Level 16 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Christopher Bonn, the reigning champion of this event, has fallen.

We arrived at the table to see Bonn all in and at risk holding {A-Spades}{6-Spades} before the flop. Unfortunately for the ring holder, Jeff Wicker held {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and was crushing him.

The board came down {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Bonn's fate was sealed. Wicker scooped up the pot and is now sitting on about 170,000.

Clinkscales Busts Prasetyo

Level 16 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Aditya Prasetyo opened the action with a raise to 5,300 from the cutoff. Tom Christopher called out of the small blind only to have Rex Clinkscales three-bet to 17,500 from the big blind.

Prasetyo four-bet all in for 71,000 total and Christopher got out of the way. Clinkscales thought for a bit, let loose a hopeful sigh, and announced a call.

Clinkscales: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Prasetyo: {A-Spades}{6-Spades}

Clinkscales was out in the lead and stayed that way through the board of {3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Clinkscales yelped out a cry of joy as the river was dealt and the pot was pushed his way. The National Championship points leader is now sitting on about 195,000 in chips.

Christopher Doubles; Mascagni Crippled

Level 16 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We caught up to hear the words "all in" and "call" over on Tom Christopher and Coury Mascagni's table.

The flop read {6-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Christohper was all in for his tournament life. He held {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for top two pair against Mascagni's {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. The {K-Spades} dropped down on the turn giving Christopher a full house and the {j-Hearts} finished off the board. Mascagni was forced to ship 104,000 across the table and was left with only around 20,000 in chips.

Overton Takes a Hit

Level 16 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The board read {K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Aaron Overton checked on over to his opponent. Overton's opponent fired 5,000 and Overton decided to stay the course.

The river brought a second pair to the felt with the {7-Clubs} and Overton checked yet again. His opponent shot 16,200 into the middle and Overton called. Overton's cards went straight to the muck, though, after he saw his opponent's {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for sevens full of treys. With this his, Overton's stack has decreased to about 260,000.
