The second and final starting day of the 2017 World Series of Poker International Circuit €1,650 Main Event at the King's Casino in Rozvadov saw a far bigger field emerge in Europe's biggest poker arena. After 12 levels of 45 minutes each, the tournament screens showed 448 entries, which boosts the total field to 646 entries.

Only 186 players bagged up chips and it was local player Pavel Stolar that jumped into the overall lead with 228,600, edging past Artan Dedusha who claimed 223,100. Vazha Kometiani, who is third in Georgia's all-time money list, seems to be the third biggest stack after Day 1b with 190,600 while further big stacks include Roberto Manfredi (187,000), Arturs Scerbaks (183,000), Vlad Darie (182,100), Maxim Lykov (176,600), Rifat Gegic (176,200) and Tomas Fara (170,600).

Jan Timo Jobmann already recorded seven cashes in Rozvadov this year, and he added a WSOP Circuit Ring in the €666 NLHE Event and a third place finish in the €420 Bounty Event to his poker resume. Jobmann finished Day 1b with very respectable 143,000 in chips. Other notables that made it through to Day 2 were Sander van Wesemael (126,700), Philipp Zukernik (118,400),Pedro Lamarca (95,700), Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (93,500) and Jeff Lisandro (53,200). Felipe Ramos, who already finished second in two tournaments during the festival including the €5,300 High Roller, was among the big names that didn't bag up.

The day started with a bang by Liang Feng, as the Chinese and Prague resident clashed with Ondrej Drozd in the first level of the day when the duo got it in preflop for almost 600 big blinds each with kings versus queens. Feng flopped best with top set, Drozd turned a straight and Feng rivered quads kings to spike an early double. Fabrice Halleux, who finished fourth in the €5,300 High Roller, was among the early casualties as well after running into the set of Luigi Micu, and the Belgian also busted on his second bullet.

Ivo Donev's rise to the top came just before the dinner break when the Austrian flopped top set against bottom set and an overpair to bust two opponents. Donev eventually settled for 100,000, which is still well above average for the start of Day 2. Pierre Neuville ran with jacks into the aces of Andrej Cintula and was not spotted for another attempt after that anymore, while Gregor Greko was among those that fired two bullets and ran out of chips as many times. Greko flopped top two pair and Tomas Fara held middle set to send the German to the rail.

Things heated up towards the end of the day and Artan Dedusha seemed poised to claim the overnight spotlight before losing some chips after trading two big pots with Sandro Pitzanti during the last hands of the night. Pavel Stolar's flopped set and rivered full house to bust Timur Caglan in a big pot vaulted the Czech into the lead, however and both were separated by a mere three big blinds when they bagged up.

More than 250 players will return for Day 2 as of 2 p.m. local time on Sunday, October 15th and at least 10 levels of 60 minutes each are scheduled for the penultimate tournament day. Action resumes with blinds of 800-1,600 and a running ante of 200, and the registration will close once the cards are back in the air. The tournament is well short of the 851 entries - including 114 re-entries - of the previous year, but the guarantee of €1,000,000 has almost been covered.

The PokerNews live reporting team will provide all the action from the floor until a winner is crowned, so make sure to tune back in regularly to find out who lifts the trophy here at King's Casino in Rozvadov.

Dedusha and Pitzanti Battle in Last Hands

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Sandro Pitzanti three-bet an open-raise and a call by Artan Dedusha to pick up a call by Dedusha only. On the {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop both players checked. Pitzanti check-called a bet of 16,000 on the {6-} turn before the {6-Diamonds} fell on the river. The Dutchman check-called the shove of Dedusha with pocket tens and doubled, as the Brit only had {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the rivered flush.

Soon after the duo would bang heads again. Dedusha overbet the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} river for 45,000 and Pitzanti snap-called. Dedusha showed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a full house and Pitzanti revealed his {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. As a result, Dedusha got almost all previously lost chips back and remains near the very top of the counts.

Pavel Stolar Makes a Charge for the Chip Lead

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Pavel Stolar
Pavel Stolar

With around 8,000 in the middle, the flop came {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Timur Caglan in the big blind checked. The player in early position fired 3,500 into the pot and Pavel Stolar called from middle position. Caglan check-raised to 9,000 with a stack of 46,000 and the initial bettor just called. The action was on Stolar who pushed all-in and Caglan nearly beat him in the pot. The player in early position folded and the two remaining hands were turned over.

Stolar tabled {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Caglan had a flush draw with {6-Spades}{5-Spades}. The turn was the {j-Hearts} and the river brought the {j-Spades}. Caglan made his flush on the river, but the paired board gave Stolar a full house.

Brimmers Doubles Through Wasek

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

"I only got crap cards the last few hours and now those nines. I had a straight draw on the flop and pushed," Gerhard Brimmers said after having just doubled through Lukasz Wasek. The latter had defended his big blind with {8-}{7-} and flopped two pair on {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

Brimmers got his stack of 38,500 in with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and immediately got there on the {9-Diamonds} turn to lock up the double and make the {3-Clubs} river a formality.

Fara Sends Greko Home Late in the Day

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Thomas Fara

Gregor Greko was in the middle of running up his short stack when he found himself in another tough spot. The pot was already massive with over 35,000 in the middle and the board reading {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Tomas Fara checked from the big blind. Gregor Greko was in the cutoff and moved all-in for his last 19,000.

Fara looked back at his cards and then pushed in a stack of chips to make the call. Greko confidently turned over {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} for top two pair but Fara flopped a set with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The river was the {k-Diamonds} and Greko was eliminated while Fara soared to the top of the chip counts.
