David Williams Chipping Back Up

David Williams raised to 4,600 from the cutoff and was called by the button. The flop was {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Williams check-called a 6,000 bet from his opponent. The turn was the {A-Diamonds}. Williams fired out 12,000 and his opponent folded.

Williams was back up to 75,000 after the hand.

Boutin Wins a Monster Before the Break

In a threeway preflop all-in fest, Burt Boutin bet his last 24,400 on {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, and it paid off.

Up against pocket 4's and pocket 10's, Boutin shouted "ace, queen... ace queen!" Burt nailed his money card when the flop came {2-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. The turn and river came {9-Spades}{J-Clubs}, and that was all she wrote.

Burt eliminated Ganesh Krishnan on the hand and severely crippled his other opponent.

After the hand, Boutin is sitting on a stack of about 73,000.

Bubble Hand

We've got the scoop on the hand that burst the bubble. Ray Taylor moved all-in before the flop with pocket Queens for 20,100 and was called a player sitting to his immediate left, who woke up to pocket Aces.

The board came {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and the Aces held up, eliminating Taylor in 199th place. After a disappointing end to a very long Day 1, Taylor was very gracious in his exit, shaking hands and wishing his table the best of luck.

In the Money!

Hand-for-hand play ended in raucous applause, and our 198 remaining players are all in the money, guaranteed a payout of at least $3,476.

201 Players Remaining

In what is turning out to be a lengthy hand-for-hand process, we are still three eliminations away from the money.

"Players, this is no-limit hold'em. You can push all-in at any time," quipped the Tournament Director over the P.A.
