David Williams Loses a Chunk of Chips

An early position player raised to 6,000, David Williams reraised to 10,000, the EP player moved all-in for 42,000, and Williams called. Williams showed the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} while his opponent tabled {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. The flop was {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}, the turn was the {J-Hearts}, and the river was the {9-Hearts}. The pocket kings held up, and Williams was down to 76,000 after the hand.

Alaskan Curt Eliminated

"Alaskan" Curt Buettner moved all in for his last 3,000 and David Williams called in the dark from the big blind. Buettner turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} while Williams did the "slow peek" and turned over the {7-Spades} followed by the {K-Spades}. Buettner's face fell ten stories on the {10-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{K-Hearts} flop. No miracles for Alaskan Curt on the {4-Hearts} turn or the {J-Diamonds} river, and he was eliminated, only 12 spots out of the money.

Raymond's Rolling

With the board showing {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Raymond Davis bet 5,000 into a 10,000 pot. Both of his opponents folded and Raymond turned over 6-6, having made a set on the river.

He has since run his chip stack up to 51,000.

Chip Leader Slips a Bit

The button moved all in for 14,000 and David Woo, wielding a massive stack in the big blind, called. The button showed {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds} while Woo tabled the {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The flop was {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, leaving Woo drawing only to running cards. The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, sealing the hand for the button. The river was a meaningless {8-Diamonds}.

Woo's stack was down to 95,000 after the hand.

Raymond Davis Wins a 20k Pot

On a board showing {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}, Raymond Davis moved all-in over the top of a bet made by Scott Wyler for 17,300 more.

Davis' bet sent his Wyler into the tank for a very, very long time. A nearby railbird commented, "he's growing gills, he's been in the tank so long."

After some serious deliberation, Wyler folded, and Davis showed {A-Spades}{9-Spades}, taking down a 20,000 pot.
