Licastro Eighty-Sixes Negreanu

Negreanu raised the big blind's bet and was called by Licastro. The turn showed the {Q-Hearts} and Negreanu checked to Licastro, who bet.

Negreanu called and saw the river yield the {4-Hearts}. Again Negreanu check-called, but this time for his last 500 and showed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Licastro revealed {K-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Negreanu grabbed his bag as he left the Amazon room.

Online pro Shaun Deeb has just been eliminated from the tournament by Australian pro Van Marcus.

Action folded to Marcus in middle position who kicked it up to 800. An unknown player to his immediate left then reraised to 1,200 and the action folded around to Deeb in the big blind, who put in a third raise. When the action returned to Marcus, he capped the betting at 2,000 and Shaun Deeb was the lone caller.

According to Marcus, Deeb then check-called him the whole way as the board filled out {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}.

At the showdown, Marcus tabled a pocket pair of aces which were good enough to take down the pot; Deeb revealed two red jacks.

After the hand, Marcus stacked up approximately 12,600 in chips.

The action began when Daniel Negreanu raised from the cutoff to 800. The big blind called and the flop came {Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Again Negreanu fired a bet after the big blind checked.

The turn came {8-Diamonds}. Another check-call from the big blind and then the {10-Spades} hit the river. This time the big blind led out with a bet and Negreanu just called with his {Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, which had been rivered by his opponent's {K-?}{10-?}.

Negreanu is down to 2,000.

J.C. Tran Eliminated

J.C. Tran
J.C. Tran
Tournament pro J.C. Tran was just eliminated from the tournament in a hand that saw five-way action before the flop.

Tran opened with a raise from under the gun and was reraised by the player to his immediate left (UTG + 1). Action then folded around the table to the cutoff who put in a third raise, making it 1,600 to go. Both blinds called, as did J.C. and the UTG + 1 player who were both all in for 1,300.

The {J-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} flop prompted all three side-pot contestants to knuckle the table, each opting to see a free turn, which was the {5-Hearts}.

The big blind then led out with an 800 bet on the turn which was called by both the small blind and cutoff. The last card to fall was the {3-Hearts} and the big blind fired a second 800 bullet, forcing both of his side-pot opponents out of the pot.

The big blind took down the side pot with a pocket pair of eights and the UTG + 1 player took down the main with a pocket pair of jacks; Tran tabled {A-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and was eliminated from the tournament.

Podlewski led out with a bet on the flop and Ferguson made the call. The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and Podlewski put Ferguson all in for his remaining 200 in chips. Jesus called and tabled {Q-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}; Podlewski revealed {K-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}. Another ten on the river cemented the hand for Podlewski, who raked the pot on the strength of his kicker, sending Ferguson to the rail.
